Re: Chase Brice
I don't keep up with the NFL as much as in the past but there seem to be guys that basically come out of nowhere and make a squad , so who knows?

Re: Chase Brice
Had a conversation with a friend the other day. We both agreed that guys like Chase Brice and Stetson Bennet might actually be in a better situation that the CJ Strouds and other #1 picks. #1 picks typically go to the worst teams and are expected to immediately contribute. They don’t always get the best coaching or the best facilities and all that losing can hurt confidence. Meanwhile, lower drafted guys get to go to better teams, have time to develop, and don’t have much pressure. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Jimmy Garapolo, there are plenty of examples of great quarterbacks drafted lower to good teams and given time to develop and becoming great.

With a couple of great bowl performances Chase seems to be getting some draft attention:

What’s wrong with you? Were you not held enough as a baby? Held too much? Seriously, going through life being a miserable pos isn’t fun.

Re: Chase Brice
I wish Chase the best. He has the arm IMO. His lack of mobility and questionable decision making will have to be corrected but I hope hes able to transition and make a splash.
Josh Allen didn't look that great vs App in 2015. He turned out OK.

Josh Allen was hurt most of 2015 with a broken collarbone.

teller is a Gumroot fan here to be a Gumroot fan. He probably wasn't held, but more likely dropped on his head.

Re: Chase Brice
I don't get the questionable decision making thing here. He had 6 interceptions all year and at least 2 were dropped/tipped by the receivers. 6 is also the low Zac Thomas and Taylor Lamb had while QBs here. Did you think they had questionable decision making?BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:34 amI wish Chase the best. He has the arm IMO. Did he make some questionable throws? Yes. But please tell me a QB at any level that doesn't make an occasional questionable decision. You guys act like 50% of his throws were the wrong decision.

Re: Chase Brice
And at least two of those were two LBs on a routes up the hash mark. One of those the LB made a great catch ...but would have batted down if not caught by LB. I believe that is the throw that gave him the most issues...reading the LBs or maybe staring down the receiver.... Who knows....something to learn from ...hope he gets a shot. Be great for him and App. St. if he can get on a roster.

Re: Chase Brice
In order to be a bust he would first have to get drafted and much higher than expected then he would have to flame out.

Apparently teller wanted to go to App but got turned down because he could only count beyond 20 if he pulled down his pants.

If Jimmy Clausen was a bust, I would take it given he was playing a sport.
