Flying out of Charlotte on Thursday to Denver. Rocky Mtn Natl Park Thursday and Friday. Arrive in Laramie Friday evening. Not flying back until Weds, so traveling to other sites/cities/parks!!! Hope this trip is as good as the Montana trip and with a better outcome on the scoreboard.

My son and I are going to Rocky Mountain National Park on Friday. 3rd time for me there and 1st time for him. I hope the wildlife is out. My 1st time there, elk were everywhere, but 2nd time not so much. Regardless, a beautiful spot I am looking forward to sharing with my son. The view from the visitor center up top is amazing. God bless my fellow Apps!

If any of you guys are making a side trip to Telluride (I know it's going the other direction) let me know -cousin owns Oak - BEER, BOURBON, BBQ - I've turned him into an APP fan over the years - always has APP game on one of his TVs --- Of course, nothing will replace his beloved "ROLL TIDE"

One day my wife and I will make one of these trips. Unfortunately not in the cards this year. My son, 12 who has CP, would love the trip but cares nothing for the game. Yes, I was 48 when he was born. Lol

Can anyone tell me if a side trip to Cheyenne, WY is worthwhile? I can’t get that George Strait song out of my head.

Depending on which way you go. It isn’t far out of the way. If you take I25 north, you junction with I80 West in Cheyanne. From Estes, it looks to be a 2 hour trip to Laramie and 1:40 to Cheyenne. From Cheyenne to Laramie is about 50 minutes. So all in all it’s a net 30 minute side trip.

It’s not. Spend any extra time in CO. Denevr, Estes Park, Breckinridge, Vail, Winter Park are all worth spending time or more time in than Cheyenne

We are leaving Friday morning out of Charlotte on Frontier.
