On the podcasts, Markell Samuel And Jayden Ramsey both were mentioned as possible starting tackles. Thorton Gentry as a primary backup as well, suprised to not hear Jaden Lindsay's name mentioned but maybe I heard them wrong! lol

Nate Noel mentioned as just being an abosolute beast should be in the discussion for Sun Belt player of the year if he can stay healthy.

Noel's only issue is that he is small. If he can stay healthy and have a monster year he will have a serious shot to get drafted. His speed, quickness, and receiving skills are going to attract a lot of NFL attention this fall.

My understanding is that he's not as small as previous seasons.

I was talking both short and light but It does appear he has bulked up, so that does help him some.

The average RB in the NFL is 5’11” and 203. If he measures what is listed, (not always the case) and he puts on 10 lbs, (which reports suggest that he has) then he is in line with the average.

Personally, while a player is at App. St., I could care less about their NFL measure comparison while at App. All I care is that the can be all conference..all American in college. There have been many great college players that never made it in the NFL..
Once a player completes their time at App, I will pull hard for them to be able to make a living at it....NFL, CFL, whatever. I really never give a thought about one of our players ability at next level until that time comes. While at App, I care about being a good student, great teammate, great for culture, give back to community here and where they grew up and give their all on the field. So, in the spirit of the thread about App St's depth chart.... I believe Noel has the opportunity to be all SBC. I have thought he should have put on the weight after his freshman season. However z I am not behind the scenes to know why that did not occur ....and past is past. I hope he makes some great plays.

How's Roberts doing in camp, could be a good Cam replacement? I heard good things about Castle too in one of the coaches post-practice reports.

Robert’s is essentially 5th on the depth chart behind Noel, Marshall, Haywood and Castle.

The way our RBs usually go down with injuries, Roberts may be #1 by mid season.

I take that as a good sign we have depth.

This is good news for the all but guaranteed blow up by someone on here that Roberts is already getting screwed playing time...

That speaks to the talent in that room. However, it’s a lot of older talent. We need to do everything we can to hold onto him, he could be the big dog next year.

Everyone in that room can come back next year if they choose.

It's already begun, from my understanding.

I think Castle is going to miss some significant time the rest of camp.
