This was a good win. Shawn takes some heat, he deserves lots of credit for how weve started this season.
Lots of year to go but hard not to be happy with 2-1. On to Laradise.

Re: EZU discussion
D played decent. They are young. Had some over pursuits which contributed to QB runs. I will take versus not.

I think he meant at Home…. All those Wake Forest wins, UNC, ECU have been on the road. (I don’t count UNCC, and obviously students don’t either )

Re: EZU discussion
The whole rushing the field thing has to stop. The Mizzou game apparently had flags on the field after the game winning field goal. Never did hear what they were for... fans stormed the field and it would have been impossible to start the game back. It's just bad business. The bad part about is the only way to stop it is to put up some type of fence or barricade. Just stupid

Hopefully he doesn’t put Kanye in the doghouse for the fumble. He was the perfect compliment to Nate

Re: EZU discussion
I know one of the turnovers that led to ECU scores was the pick, but the other was a fumble. How was that on Aguilar? Or am I missing something else?ASUTodd wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 6:31 pmDefense gets an A+
Noel gets an A++++
Aguilar gets a C+ (bad decisions today and gave up 14 points because of it)
OLine gets a B
Receivers get an A
Coach Clark gets a C (I just don't know what he thinks sometimes, 2 point conversions, not calling timeouts to avoid hurried plays, allowing the celebrations)
Fans get an A+

Re: EZU discussion
Too good to keep off the field and he proved it today. Fumble sucked but he was fighting for yards while laying on someone, he will learn. If you yank him that’ll ruin his confidence. Going to be a crazy good backfield when Marshall returns, keeping Noel fresh is key!BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 7:15 pmHopefully he doesn’t put Kanye in the doghouse for the fumble. Re: EZU discussion
I think you're right on that. I still don't think he had his best night. Didn't give up though. I gave the C+ based on his previous showings. Compared to them this was a C+. To some QBs this would have been a B night. If that makes sense.... it seems perfect in my mind. Re: EZU discussion
We are fun to watch, but I swear, sometimes we score in spite of ourselves and poor playcalling. Clark will end up embroiled in a class-action suit with fans demanding reparations for their blood pressure and heart pills. They'll be handing out low-dose Bayer at the gates.
Remember the Joey for savior thread? Yeah, this is why coach said it was a toss-up. Both guys have things to work on.
Noel will be our third RB ever with 3k + yards. He will get a look as an UDFA.
We have a solid and growing/maturing team. I like our future outlook.
On a side note, I'm glad I haven't been able to make the 40k+ fan games. That sounds miserable and actually dangerous, given the true facility/stadium capacity. They need to get a handle on that before something happens.

Re: EZU discussion
Pass play deep in our territory was the right call iny opinion. Just wrong play. Cannot ask a QB to throw 20+ yards across the field. Needed to be a slant or a QB rollout to TE or WR.
The TO near end of Q2 was also right call. App just stopped EasyU on 1st down..so 2nd and 10...keep gas pedal to the medal so to speak.
Yes, the 2 point conversions were head scratchers

Re: EZU discussion
The second 2 pt try was absolutely the right call = makes it a 3 point lead instead of 2
