Our kicker has some stones. A 54* yard walk off is insane to ask of a college kicker and he drilled it.
Remember the days of Michael Rubino?

Very good kick. And big leg, had room on it.
Was very nice after GW game and came out with sharpie to sign some stuff. My youngest enjoys his tee he got signed.

He took a lot of unnecessary heat after GaSo last year, glad he got some redemption tonight.
It should have never come down to kicking a field goal. 471 yards given up on defense, 4 turnovers (almost a 5th). Just abysmal almost everywhere. The offense did move the ball, but continually shot themselves in the foot. The defense did make some key stops late, and they deserve credit for that. But if changes/adjustments had been made early in the game, maybe we don’t have to celebrate a 54 yard FG to win.

That's a tough kick. He's never made one remotely that far at sea level before. And he did it in swamp heat.

So pretty much our entire roster wasn't born yet the last time we had a kick this long. Amazing

Something has changed in our field goal set up. The center is positioned off center which enables Hughes a better angle for his kicks. He is nailing them right down the middle, with extra range.
They have figured out Hughes !!!!
He will be a HERO for the rest of his APP career !!!
