Preseason Coaches Poll: Sun Belt, App opponents listed

Unread post by AppStFan1 » Mon Aug 05, 2024 11:38 am

Clemson is ranked #14, Liberty getting 15 votes, and 4 Sun Belt teams receive votes (App, JMU, Troy, Texas State).

Memphis and Boise State are top 2 G5s. This goes to show that both of them are in the drivers seat and Liberty or App will not only need to go undefeated but need Memphis and Boise State to lose a game or two in order to guarantee they pass them.

Interesting stat. Sun Belt leads all G5 leagues with teams listed. Sun Belt- 4; AAC- 3; Mountain West- 3; CUSA- 1; MAC- 1.

Interesting that Liberty, Boise State, Troy, Texas State and JMU all had coaches voting in the poll. If Clark voted and voted like Chadwell, we’d have 17 points.

True but Liberty having votes is fair. They were in the NY6 last year, return their QB, and have a favorable schedule.
