App listed as one of 6 GOFs that can make the playoff

This year, QB Joey Aguilar is back after throwing for over 3,700 yards and 33 TDs a season ago. Leading rusher Nate Noel transferred to Missouri, but Kanye Roberts is ready to be the full-time lead back. He averaged 5.7 yards a carry last season. The key to the offense will be a rebuilt offensive line that returns just one starter.
A trip to Clemson looms in Week 2, but a win over Liberty at the end of September will be huge and James Madison is also on the schedule. The Sun Belt has improved dramatically over the past few seasons and its strength could boost the Mountaineers if they post an 11-1 season.

The Sept. 28 game vs. Appalachian State could be a de facto playoff elimination contest.

when I look at that bracket, the gulf between the haves and have nots could not be clearer. We would be decided underdogs against every one of those teams. Maybe we could pull off an upset against 4, 10, or 11. Against the rest a win would be keeping it within a couple of scores.
I know this will be unpopular, but we will be far better off when the super conferences are finished and they pull away and do their own thing.

Who would they play for their tune up games?

The point of the super league is to separate themselves and have every week have the best games possible.
But, I'm guessing Vanderbilt will still be around...

They will not be playing them. They don't want to play them.

95% of CFB would be underdogs in those games. is the super conference just gonna be bama, ga, osu and mich?

At least in the NFL (theoretically) because of salary caps and draft position every team (except the Panthers of course) has a chance to make the playoffs and can play in the Super Bowl. Because of the great divide in resources, recruiting and NIl that same type of opportunity won’t realistically be possible in major college football. Even if App generates some crazy collective pool of money it will still be nearly impossible to overcome the other obstacles. App State and the other handful of solid G5’s can only hope to have that magical season and maybe slide in the bottom seed. I’ve said it before that depth will ultimately be the biggest factor for top G5’s. We can’t roll into game 14 with our 4th string back carrying the ball 20 times.
