I thought we could a thread just for how things are going in Dynasty mode, and leave the other threads for news about updates and other things.

Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
In year one I played Freshman mode and was undefeated, and I accidentally took another job so I started over. I am not going to leave App State! To get through it quick enough I did 1 minutes quarters on the redo.
Second time through year 1 undefeated and un-scored on . Earned #3 sport in CFP. Won it all. Coach of the Year.
Year two start at #21 in polls and was up and down in polls but undefeated. Ended up #3 in polls and CFP playoffs. Had about 16 points scored on App. (2 TDs and a safety.) About week 7 I notice I have a player in the Heisman hunt as a defensive player at that. Ends up winning the Heisman as a sacking machine. It was Thomas Davis by the way. Playing Freshman mode with 3 min quarters. I meant to up the difficulty this year but forgot. Will play Varsity level when I finish off season 2. Getting ready to start the CFP next game.

Out of curiosity, how much time are you putting into say each week of a season, given the recruiting efforts, practice, games, etc.?McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 1:48 pmIn year one I played Freshman mode and was undefeated, and I accidentally took another job so I started over. Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
Games are 15 minutes real time when I was playing 1 min quarters. I think the games are 25 minutes with 3 min quarters. I have not timed them that closely. I play with real time clock. For recruiting I might spend a few minutes. I am not doing that deep of a dive, though I might regret that when I move up to a harder level. Winning two championships in a row, and two time Natty Coach of the Year, and a Heisman winner, and my recruiting class was only 56 or so. Then I spend a few minutes checking out polls, Heisman, and Top News, which is always Prig4 schools, unless I am in the Natty.
Wow I am wasting my life away right now.
35 min a week I guess. I really need to time it for a few games. I might need to go with 2 min games. I'll calm down after this year most likely, and not play so much.

35 minutes is far less than what I expected. Although I am basing that off the all night gaming events I experienced with the game during my college years. I’m not sure I could keep it to 35 minutes a week and that’s why I don’t have the game. Enjoy it and let us know how it goes on varsity level.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 9:46 pmGames are 15 minutes real time when I was playing 1 min quarters. By 35 minutes I mean 35 for an in-game week. Playing the game and then the other events. For a 17 game season that is going to be 8-9 hours minimum for 3 min quarters.InFor6More wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 9:06 am35 minutes is far less than what I expected. Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
Things I have learned so far in this game.
Football is hard.
I suck at defense.
If there's a record for pick sixes thrown, I might have it.
Halfbacks, slot receivers and tight ends love my gameplay.
The other receivers better get used to a ton of blocking.
I'm not the best recruiter.
I'm still having a blast despite all this.

Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
You have to time your throws to pass the ball right as the receiver is coming open and know the speed of your players. Some will separate and others won't. On defense you should work on becoming a DB when the ball is close and this hit Y to jump up and pick it off. When I would play I would usually have 3-6 picks a game and bring back 1-2 for a TD.rbarthle17 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:06 amThings I have learned so far in this game.

As for receivers use a lot of slant routes, out routes, and comebacks. Make sure you recruit WRs who are good route runners so you get the most cushion when they make their breaks.
On recruiting make sure you don't target more than 20 at a time so you can put max points in each player and schedule visits as soon as possible. Go after players that it recommends to you because those tend to be the ones you can sign the most. To increase recruiting points make sure you upgrade your coach skills. Use the two that have to do with recruiting and player development so you can target the most players and see your team improve quicker.

Based on my experience, and assuming the ratings are spot on for the players, my suggestion is for Coach Clark to run HB Direct EVERY play on offense and blitz on every defensive play. Guaranteed win.

Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
I'm doing a thirty year dynasty right now, I think I'm on year 8 or 9. I started off with Colorado State and won the MWC, took a job at Tennessee and won the natty and the SEC, then I bumped up the difficulty from varsity to all-american and took a job at Akron. I've been kinda floundering around since then taking various jobs. I've had some years where I've made it to my conference championship game and the first round of the playoffs but I haven't had as much success. It's definitely more rewarding to me on higher difficulties but the CB's are just insane.
If anyones interested in starting a Yosefs Cabin online dynasty that'd be pretty fun, I'm on PS5.
I also track all my data in a spreadsheet. Here's a copy of it for the sickos:
I also adjusted my sliders a bit based on this article:

I thought I was being a bit much just tracking each score for every game on a Google Sheet. This a whole other level of OCD. I just played my first online game in road to CFP.
Grabbed a big (xii) scalp.
This could get very addicting.

Re: EA Sports NCAA Football 25 Dynasty
The game has the last time we played GaSo in real life with the score and series standing before each rivalry game and then updates for Dynasty mode which is a neat touch.
GaSo is a rivalry game and Charlotte. I don't think the game does this for James Madison, Marshal, Coastal or ECU, so EA Sports does not consider the other schools a rival. I wonder if EA Sports asked schools or just made this up with some research on their own. On the old Wii version from 2008, if I remember correctly, WCU, Furman, and GaSo were the rival games, but I am not sure if anything was done special.
