We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Grain of salt until Wednesday when the 3 day forecasts come out, which are way more accurate. Still, I'm concerned about what I'm seeing.

I'm hoping Ray's forecast is the winner, as he is still saying partly to mostly cloudy (which I'm fine with in August/September) and some scattered afternoon showers/thunderstorms...fingers-crossed.

On the oft-chance the weather gets wacky on Saturday, App and ETSU share the same open date (Oct. 19). Just sayin’…

No need to sweat things quite yet. There’s many variables at play and much to hope for despite the odds at the moment.

Looks like a cold front will be creeping in from the west. At 4-5 days out, the timing of that is still impossible. Nonetheless, if this offers some hope, most models show a distinct line of storms forming over the mountains and then marching east. Summertime storms in the mountains tend to initiate earlier rather than later so I’m hoping and banking on getting the storms out of the way before our 3:30 kick.

I can’t wait another week for App football. I may not survive.
