Moving on to South Alabama

Unread post by McLeansvilleAppFan » Sat Sep 14, 2024 6:39 pm

USA played on Thursday so they will have a full week of rest. App will have 5 days of rest.

USA destroyed NW State 87-10, which tells us nothing except they played a weak FCS team. We showed grit in an away game at ECU.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Only thing I can think is we can run on them like Ohio. That's the only stat i see that stands out from other games. Looking for a win.

Most of today’s mistakes were correctable. It will be interesting to see how App shows up on Thursday night.

The players know it is a primetime game on ESPN and KBS will be packed. I don't see how they don't come out swinging.

We've never been good at fast starts but after the last 2 weeks I sure hope that changes.

Well that was start to finish hot. Even as blurry as it was to me.

We have to find a run game. I don’t remember an App team of recent struggle this bad with running the football. We can’t fully open up the passing game cause we can’t establish anything on the ground.

Favors will be out for the first half. The four who missed today likely won't play in my opinion. Maybe they suit up but are limited. If they couldn't go today, its hard to see how they will be that much better in 5 days. It would be more beneficial for the long-term to allow them a full week off. The defensive depth earned some extra time anyways.

Unless they were being held out so they could play Thursday it is hard to see them playing.

The more I think about it , the more I like having extra time to prepare for liberty after the south alabama game

Defense played well today with the deck stacked against them. Offense made it happen when it counted. Save for a broken play in the first only 1 offensive TD allowed.

A lot to be impressed with
A lot to improve upon.

The more I watch the more I question just how big of a target we have on our back...

SAlabama beat up on a horrible FCS team that hasn't won a game since 2022. They needed that after tough losses to Ohio and North Texas.

If they're like Major Applewhite teams I've seen before, I'll expect screens and other short passes with a deep ball mixed in.

If I recall the Halloween game correctly, we were down 14-0 and then Armanti took over. Just sayin.
