Game Balls: ECU
I forgot to issue game balls for the ETSU win, but here we are for the 21-19 victory over ECU.
On a side note, App is now 2-0 on the season against teams with East in their name.
Joey Football: 32-47, 424 yards. Two touchdowns. This is the third most passing yards in school history.
Makai Jackson: 6-86, one handed go-ahead touchdown, caught almost certain deflected interception for a first down on the game-sealing drive.
To paraphrase Drink: How about that Scot Sloan defense? Down four players to start and six by the time SBC refs finished auditioning for AAC jobs, the App defense registered four sacks and allowed just three points after the first quarter.
Startin’ to come together, Pepper. Startin’ to come together.

Re: Game Balls: ECU
I am going to give everyone on the defense a game ball. No touchdowns allowed after the 1st drive. I am going to award another one to the often ridiculed Ronald Clarke. Dude played well yesterday on some tough spots.
Offensively I am going to go with Eli and Anderson.

Agreed here. Eli should be getting 6-10 targets per game. He is such a good player. Anderson runs hard and was reliable late in the game!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 3:08 pmI am going to give everyone on the defense a game ball. No touchdowns allowed after the 1st drive. Re: Game Balls: ECU
I have always personally been one who advocates for using tight ends. One of my favorite Panthers (back when they were a legit NFL franchise) was Olsen. I’d practically scream for them to target him 10 times a game. A 245 lb dude with some speed is tough to guard by average G5 linebackers. Those seam routes are money.
