He can play as long as he can stay focused on the goal.

What makes this even better in my mind is I've been told Hopper was verbally committed to ECU. We beat them in Charlotte, and he decommits and commits to us.

The same person said that game had nothing to do with it and it was more about staying closer to his family (I believe he had a kid on the way at that point), but I just don't believe it. I think it was more Ware's Shelby connections, but I don't know that for certain -- that's just a gut feeling.

But, either way -- he was the best player statistically in the whole country against the program that thought they stole him from us.

I'm old and already lost my memory so it may not be true at all -- that's just what I think I remember from that conversation.

I can't remember what I did yesterday though so I may be inadvertently making it all up... Don't take anything I say as gospel
