Going through a day, a week, a life without emotion would be a very sad life.
And, yes, emotions do benefit us in many ways from a mental health aspect whether one chooses to believe it or not.
Some famous philosopher once said, you should laugh, think and cry every day.
I will let App. St. and my various pro teams play on my emotions on the daily as well as family experiences, etc..
Being a Reds fan, maybe I need to seek mental health related to generational suffering. 😂😂

The Reds have some Horses on the mound.
If they can stay healthy, they can make some noise. Need Greene back and that Ashcraft guy sits at 100-101!!
I like the kid from Lexington? that pitched at Wake- Rhett Lowder.

I met after the 83 Natty. He had some deal to travel to various Hardee's locations in NC. You got to take a free throw for a bball goal they set up..i was rocking a UNC T-shirt.for the event. He had some humor with it. Got my picture with him in the sports section of the local paper.

It is a whole mess. If you think about it sports depends on emotion of fans because there is no ROI for this. A team winning or losing does not benefit or hurt us in any way. The crazy thing is this whole market is propped up by our emotions. Teachers and medical folks don't actually draw money and healthcare is really propped up by Big Pharma poisoning our foods.
Again, I think you are making part of my point, as a society we really don’t value health care or education. Poor health can in many cases be attributed to poor food choices but again that’s another choice we make in a free society. Doritos much like sports may be much more as you put it, emotionally satisfying, than carrots. And I’m not really sure that big pharma props up healthcare. It may in many cases create the need for healthcare. But one last thought, what it really sounds like to me is that App. State simply can’t afford a competitive football program. Thanks for the conversation.
I'm saying Big Pharma pushes to get things in food and pays off the right people to make certain things in our food okay. You have to be careful what you eat. Yes, we don't value healthcare like we should. We have folks on this board and at every school who spend way more on 18-23 year-olds playing a sport for entertainment than living a healthy life. It is sad but how it is.

My main point before we got on that other stuff is that we have to focus on personnel and getting evals right if we want to actually win. I want to see how these inexperienced evaluators do because if they don't find us diamonds in the rough then it will tell me that Loggains just made convenient hires and not well thought out hires. After seeing how bad we were in that area under Clark it is an area I want to see Loggains improve. I'm just not sure yet but I am a little skeptical because the money we are paying for those roles is less than half of what we should be paying to get experienced people in them.
I think you are a little misguided on Big Pharma's role in food. Probably should point that finger at the food conglomerates. Otherwise I'll have to star buying my Doritos at the Pharmacy.
They are all in bed with each other. I saw a documentary on how Big Pharma is in bed with the food conglomerates. It all relates. You are sicker because of the food. Been going on for decades.
Oh I've see the documentaries as well as been in healthcare for quite some time. Many more fingers to point than just these two. Now back to my Doritos..

Really praying this turns out to be a good hire. I am a little surprised that Loggains has not put more focus in recruiting/personnel. As much money as Loggains is burning through you would think he would hire some experienced people in recruiting who have a proven record of evaluating.

Do we have the money to pay those experienced people you want?
It seems most of our staff is making $50k-80k. That won't attract anyone over the age of 30...maybe even 28.

Maybe fewer people with more talent instead of more people with less talent. We don't need to try and be a training program.

Asking people to do more for a salary that is still below countless employers in the industry will not work. Just ask the athletic department. More with less is not as true these days as they once were.

Our pay is a big issue. App pays crap and I would say that 99% of the people who leave on their own accord do so because of money. I would rather hire 2 people making over 150k each who are really good over hiring 5 people for 50k. We need quality over quantity.

Money doesn’t matter if you’re working 90 hours a week doing the job of 5 people. That kind of thinking creates burnout and turnover.

Coaches have X amount of money for staff salaries and they spread it out however they think it will be most effective.
