What are we thinking? I’m very happy with the offense. Particularly with AJ and the play calling.

After years of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, we finally found our Dowell!

A little too early to say that but extremely optimistic. That was a very well prepared team and reflects very well on this staff! Congrats!

It just shows how stagnant we had become. I really think we showed we are to be feared. Clean up a few things and we will be golden.

I did really like the offensive play calling. I think execution could be much better, but even on several plays that didn’t work out, could see the logic and creativity behind the call.
Really liking this DJ smith defense. Obviously hard to judge from 1 game against concord, but I am pleasantly surprised after the first game

DJ Smith will be very, very hard to keep for more that a year or two at DC. He had our boys ready to play last night. UNCC tried running a little option play in the second half, we had it perfectly sniffed out. That tells me we’re prepared and playing our assignments. Last night was literally night and day compared to the last few.

I’m not gonna say it for the entire season, but I’ll say it this morning…we were very close to being a very bad program under the previous staff. One game in and I feel like we’re heading back in the right direction

Did Loggains get a mayo bath last night and if so where is the video?

Idk man. Like 500 yards and would have been 40+ points if not for one fluke play. That’s pretty in sync. Out east to west stuff didn’t seem to create much, but that’s about all I can think of in terms of flaws. Oh the center had some bad snaps too.

Nothing’s perfect, but the sync/rhythm we saw last night was light years beyond what we saw last year.

Kick receiving worries me, the receiver needs to run North before he starts East West running.

Portal football. Feels like we should've done this a while ago- get a coach trying to prove himself, transfers trying to get significant play time at a relevant national program, and play solid football. App can maintain our brand nationally and stay relevant, offering us a strong product to watch year in and year out. I went to the game, didnt know what to expect, didnt have the same deep gut passion, but thoroughly enjoyed myself.
