Look who is at number 16.

Had they gone any higher they would have had to include Appalachian.
Also, those schools have been playing football longer than Appalachian has.
Appalachian has had only three losing streaks of two games each. Appalachian has never had a losing streak of more than two years in almost 100 years of football.
They did not include number 16...

Not a single G5 program listed and they specifically use the term FBS. Not FCS wins.
Also, we are 46th in the second link you posted.

Re: They did not include number 16...
I see that now. I was thinking that 16th in all time winning percentage was the same in all time wins. However, had we started playing when those teams listed started playing we may have that many wins. I do think it is interesting to note that we have never had more than two losing seasons in a row since we have been playing football. I had heard we started football in 1928 so that 1905 date is interesting. So it appears that we have had 4 two loss seasons in a row.

It's actually a more impressive statistic.AppWyo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 9:38 pmI see that now. I was thinking that 16th in all time winning percentage was the same in all time wins. I hate to burst your bubble but my last year as a GA athletic trainer in 1981 the record was 3-7-1 with the following results. Six game losing streak before whippin mighty Davidson. I won't name the head coach. Every time I do I have to up my Prozac prescription.....AppWyo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 4:59 pmhttps://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ ... 18#image=1

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I remember that season. At least most of the losses were close.
Working. Now go take your Prozac or a good drink of scotch whiskey.

I have now corrected the original post, Appalachian has never had more than two losing years in a row. Thank you for noticing.scatman77 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 9:16 amI hate to burst your bubble but my last year as a GA athletic trainer in 1981 the record was 3-7-1 with the following results.
