Time for the App State Football SPRING GAME?
Just wondering if anyone has heard when they will announce the time for the 2026 Spring Football Game to be held on April 18, 2026. Just over a month away and I have not seen anything yet other than "TBA" as far as the time.
Last year I believe it kicked off at 1 PM.

Totally not shocked a start time hasn’t been set…much less what sorts of off-field entertainment, activities and refreshments will be on offer.

Light beer is worth 3 points, craft beer 6. Tally up at the end.

The request for some sort of PA announcer has been made. Whether they oblige, we shall see.

The FanFest has been moved to the plaza between all the new dorms next to the stadium. This is a great idea since the weather is looking good.

Weston just posted the player numbers on Twitter, so I collected then and put them all in a Google Doc just in case theres no programs or rosters handed out tomorrow. Free to view.
Currently the official roster online does not have numbers next to names.

Not really a spring game, just seems like spring practice with an audience

Wasn’t able to make it up today.
How did we look? Any stand outs? Disappointments?

There was scant talk of the game leading up to it and even less now that it is over. Has apathy already sat in? Just a few years ago most would have done anything for a spring game, now it seems an afterthought.

Personally, I never cared about seeing a glorified practice. I'm happy for those that like it, I'm glad it's there for them

Glad to see additional media outlets taking an interest in the program this spring.

1. I have little interest in a Spring Game. I have no interest in watching a Spring practice.
2. When we attended the open house (or whatever it was called a few years ago) in August), we knew most of the roster and knew who we were talking to. Now, there’s very little connection between the fans and players with the NIL constant turnover. It’s just see the new guys in the App uniforms.

It’s truly amazing how some of these big schools actually “sell out” for these practices. Nearly everyone has a practically new roster yet a Michigan packs their stadium. Battle traffic, parking, etc to watch nothing. Amazing

Agree. I went to FanFest and one of the basketball coaches kept pushing me to meet the guys. Had to come out and tell him that I got to meet and know one of the players the previous year and I rooted for him all season and then he up and walks because we weren’t going to pay him more money.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 6:49 am1. No thank you. I’ll stick to rooting for the name on the front of the jersey from now on.

Re: Time for the App State Football SPRING GAME?
I look at spring game primarily for parents with kids or someone mentoring a kid that may be in a tough home situation. For alumni parents with kids or not alumni, it gives their kids connections to App. St. so maybe a higher percentage chance that connection brings them to App.. St. For a mentoring program, maybe it gets a kid to think about going to college when maybe they otherwise would not have. Besides the game, you get an opportunity to to walk around campus and a get a comfort zone, etc.
