Defensive POTW: John Law
Freshman POTW: Marcus Cox
Seems as if the opposing teams punters are having the games of their lives against our Mountaineers. First A&T, now Leon.

Special Teams are costing us valuable field position, this need to be addressed now.moonshine wrote:http://m.soconsports.com/mobile/ViewArt ... =209265538

Re: POTW
Most of the punts in the last two games have been just luck for A&T & Elon and bad luck for App. The ball lands on the 4-5 yard line and jumps to the left and goes out at the 3yrs line. That's just bad luck. I'm just speaking for the punt team only....WataugaMan wrote:Special Teams are costing us valuable field position, this need to be addressed now.moonshine wrote:http://m.soconsports.com/mobile/ViewArt ... =209265538

Re: POTW
More pressure on the punter may take care of that. Let's see what happens this week.AppState89 wrote:Most of the punts in the last two games have been just luck for A&T & Elon and bad luck for App. The ball lands on the 4-5 yard line and jumps to the left and goes out at the 3yrs line. Re: POTW
I don't know man. I saw a few times, especially at the A&T game, where Tony should have fair caught the ball on the ~10-15.AppState89 wrote:Most of the punts in the last two games have been just luck for A&T & Elon and bad luck for App. The ball lands on the 4-5 yard line and jumps to the left and goes out at the 3yrs line. Re: POTW
I'm more concerned with kick off coverage than anything else. The number of TDs and long runbacks we have allowed in the past few years is obscene.

Yep, if I'm not mistaken, they had a long runback which almost went for a TD.WataugaMan wrote:Almost had another one of those last week!!Appsolutely wrote:I'm more concerned with kick off coverage than anything else. Re: POTW
Haven't noticed our kick off and punt teams raking in any accolades so far? I guess the annual obligatory gifted K/O return for TD and the anal pigskin enema and block this year have kept the voters at bay?WataugaMan wrote:AppState89 wrote:Most of the punts in the last two games have been just luck for A&T & Elon and bad luck for App. The ball lands on the 4-5 yard line and jumps to the left and goes out at the 3yrs line.
