The defense...
I understand the philosophy of "bend but don't break," but good grief, Woody. You're bending, you're breaking, you're losing the battle and it's not even close.
He needs to figure this out.

Re: The defense...
Did Ayers have such a good defense because of Woody, or in spite of him?

Re: The defense...
I'll give Woody a bit of a pass for this season, and possibly next. He's got to get his players into his system before he could be considered a failure. We know we have athletes on defense, but they aren't the guys he recruited. Had he had a big DT like we had a few years back, I imagine the story would be completely different.
Give 'em hell!

I feel like he's being out-schemed. I'm not calling for his head over one half of football, but there is no reason to let CHARLESTON SOUTHERN match our score in a half.BeauFoster wrote:I'll give Woody a bit of a pass for this season, and possibly next. I'm sick. I'm physically sick. This is fucking amateur hour in the coaching department.

You can blame coaching all you want but I'm convinced that our defensive players are just not very smart. They made too many mistakes today that had nothing to do with coaching.Gonzo wrote:I'm sick. I'm physically sick. This is fucking amateur hour in the coaching department.

We haven't been able to tackle for about the last four years. I was hoping new coaching might change that, but it didn't.App91 wrote:How many times was contact made at the line of scrimmage, containment, only to have a 5 6 7 yard gain. Couldn't tackle anybody

Re: The defense...
Sick of hearing about young players and players the coach didn't recruit. No matter how young or who they are with coaching they should at least get better than they were the week before. They are getting worse and even Brown said it on the radio on the way home.
