Yes it is troubling. We have have reached a tipping point. What we will begin to see now is fewer people in the seats at game time, we are losing the fan base. The hard core will still come and in greater numbers than we had 10 years ago but we have lost the casual fan. The timing could not be worse. Our program has tanked at a point where we are going from winning championships to playing small bowl ball and if we can't win at home people will stay away.appbio91 wrote:Tied at the half. This used to not bother me but the apathy I have seen the last two games is disturbing.fjblair wrote:Yes it is troubling. We have have reached a tipping point. This is AppState89 posting under Kiddbrewer......I agree, if you are going to leave at half, WHY FREAKING COME!!!!! Just keep your asses at home....they were leaving today like a damn fire drill....grrrrr

It's now time to just face the truth...App is not a good team. I'm more disappointed in the program and the week-to-week play of this team than any time I can remember. At this point we go 5-7 at best. No way such programs as NC A&T or Charleston Southern should beat us...especially at home. Pathetic!!!!)

The transition from OC to HC for Scott has been tougher than anticipated. Perhaps we had our hopes too high for the prodigal son. Either way, he's learning on the job, and it's not going to be easy. At least two of our losses probably would have been wins with an experienced HC. I expected there to be growing pains, but expected them to begin in 2014.Asu90 wrote:It's now time to just face the truth...App is not a good team. It's tough feeling like a Panthers fan on Saturdays.

I agree I thought this would come next year. In a painful kind of way this might end up being a good thing. I remember after the McNeese loss when we first debuted our fancy new digs Armanti made the comment that maybe things were a little bit too comfortable. Well a disappointing season in FCS as we transition to FBS should light a fire under the ass of all involved.ASUMountaineer wrote:The transition from OC to HC for Scott has been tougher than anticipated. I agree. I also hope that my post didn't come across as negative, I was trying to give an unemotional observation. I am 100% behind SS, and support the direction of the university.appbio91 wrote:I agree I thought this would come next year. In a painful kind of way this might end up being a good thing. With that said, I also agree with you about this being a good, albeit painful, thing. Maybe this could be the impetus to recruit different types of players and for the coaching staff to really evaluate different schemes/plans/whatever. As a former coach of mine said, "you don't always have to push forward to advance." In other words, look back, evaluate, and reflect on the past, and then learn from it.
