Georgia State vs Alabama and App vs Georgia
Considering that FBS Sun Belt Georgia State lost to not one but two FCS SoCon teams by significant margins (Chatt by 42-14 and Samford by 10) and yet # 1 Alabama didn't beat them by much more than Chattanooga did, our chances of staying with Georgia at least a little while look better.

Re: Georgia State vs Alabama and App vs Georgia
Speaking of Georgia State, they returned 3,000 of their allotted tickets to Alabama for the game yesterday. You'd think that more GS fans would at least want to see the #1 team play regardless of how hapless their own team's year is going. It's surprising Alabama allotted them as many tickets that they were able to return as many as 3K. They would have pretty much been assured capacity anyway. It's doubtful that we will be returning that many to #6 Georgia.

Re: Georgia State vs Alabama and App vs Georgia
Neither Bama nor Georgia are known for running up the score unnecessarily against their "money game" opponents. Even with our current issues, App is WAY better than Georgia State. Bama could have scored as much as they wanted to yesterday, and I fear Georgia will be the same for us. Georgia is seriously dinged up right now, which might help. Gurley & Mitchell are both out (RB's) along with some other impact players. That being said, they won't need them. They will be 30 lbs per man bigger across the line and Douglas (3rd string RB) will be more than enough. Gurley might be back by Nov...not sure.
I really wish this game was happening in a year when we were playing at our potential, but hopefully we can keep improving and keep it respectable. I will be there in my black & gold.
Go Apps!
