Yesterday

Unread post by ebapps1 » Sun Oct 06, 2013 2:46 pm

Yesterday was the first game that I have gotten to see live this year. While I was glad that the guys showed some heart and sent it to OT, I was still very disappointed in the overall play. El Cid fumbled 4 or 5 times and we only got one recovery although every time we had more players around the ball. I was parked beside Marcus Coxs' mom and told her that her son was pretty much the entire offense and that seemed to be the case yesterday. This is just such a bad way to be leaving the SOCON, for us as well as GSU. Looking at the players on the sideine. we have some big, physical players, so is it just a combination of poor play and bad coaching? I thought that the motto is "Always Attack"? It looks like it should be "Conservative is best". When Kam was throwing on that last drive and we were attacking they couldn't stop it. It seems like frpm what I have seen this year when we do go up tempo we move the ball pretty well, when we go to the line up and look to the sidelines 2 or 3 times, we bog down. Sorry for rambling but I needed to vent a bit before I watch my Cowboys get beaten down today.

Most telling stat of the game: 8 plays 74 yards 2:39 TOP.
This was the lat 4th quarter drive to put them up 28-21. This is crunch time when the D has to make plays. Didn't get it done!

This was a terrible weekend. Apps lose by 3, Cowboys lose by 3 and the Atlanta Braves will go out with a whimper tonight.

Seeing the bovine cartel lose was a saving grace.
