Question for those 40, 50 or even like me 60+

I seem to remember my father making a very similar statement. I've got three-16, 20 and 24 and they are undoubtedly all much smarter than I!

I learn from my grandmother of 86 and my four year old. My four year old teaches me new things (or things I have forgotten) on a weekly basis at a minimum.

actually you will find there will be a period after middle school when it won't be so bad - but it is short-lived

Ditto and it happens all the time with us old-timers. We are said to be out of touch, living in the past, having lack of vision, and against progress for ASU in most facets.

I'll take your 14 year old. That's one of my favorite ages to work with. You can take over when your 14 year old hits 17. The way I look at it, all middle schoolers are easy to work with. They have big enough vocabularies to articulate what's going on and no filter to know when to clam up. It's a cinch to know what's going on with them. Plus, if you don't like the one you dragged out of bed in the morning, there's a pretty strong likelihood that a different one will be there when you get home from work.

My girl is actually really good, when I can get her off the computer. I am just amazed how fast she went from elementary school to high school. When Armanti threw his last pass in Montana she was in 5th grade. Now she is a freshman in high school. That doesn't seem possible to me. We are taking her and two of her friends to homecoming. I am recruiting all of her friends to come to App. (at least the ones I like)

I'll have two recruits with me Saturday as well (7th and 10th grades). I love taking kids to App and getting them hooked early.

Man the time flies so enjoy every day - We took our daughter to Homecoming 1998 - she had already been accepted for Fall - '99 - she is now married, has the sweetest little baby daughter ever and it honestly seems all that happened about a year ago

Wow that's an interesting take - if you will go back and look at your rep points you will find several from me and you won't need to go back more than a few days - On the other hand, I went back thru the entire history of rep points and I have never received one from you --- Duh, so who is naïve???

WV we don't agree on much related to App that isn't a secret. We both are fans but have different thoughts on what is best. Two intelligent people can disagree on a subject.

I'm sure there are many subjects you and I agree on, the future direction of App State isn't one of them.

You may be putting too much stock in rep points as well.
