Rap Music
There were a couple complaints about the rap music on the sound system last week by a couple of posters. It was said that it was the players who wanted it. What are they doing listening to music while on the sidelines or on the field during the game? It would seem that they would be more focused on the game considering how the season is going. (Just my not too humble opinion) I felt it was unsettling for the band to start a tune only to be drowned out by the rap.
I'm old school and don't mind the marching band playing the fight song or the like, but not that stuff. Of course I'm one who feels the marching band is central to the traditional college football atmosphere. Just old school, I suppose.

Re: Rap Music
Anyone notice right before Samford took a knee to go into halftime they played We Will Rock You??? When App was down 21-3? I don't mind the in game music because every college football team does it. But timing and selection this year has been extremely poor.

Re: Rap Music
I mean.....the band was drowned out several times, all by different styles of music. Yet, you choose to select the rap as the one that gets under your skin. Interesting.
Re: Rap Music
Honestly, the music isn't the worst part. The worst part, in my opinion, is our student section after every kickoff. If anyone has been listening, our student sections yells "You suck @$$holes" whenever a kickoff occurs. That makes us look BEYOND classless, especially when we're losing 21-3.

Re: Rap Music
Really man? How is he racist if he's rooting for a team that is made up of predominantly Black players? That'a a stupid accusation to make and a pointless one.

Voodoo child by jimmi Hendrix... Hulk Hogan used it as an entrance song when he turned into Hollywood Hogan, while he was in WCW.
