Not really --- there's no spooky boogie man out there - we all know what is comingJCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?
I am with you. Michigan would permanently be in my rearview mirror. That clown on ESPN is going to have a field day with us. BUT again it is all about money and we can't seem to get it any other way. We want we want we want so we need to pay to pay to pay. I know there are reasons but the fact is we talk like Alabama fans and we pay like Guilford collage fans.WVAPPeer wrote:Not really --- there's no spooky boogie man out there - we all know what is comingJCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?![]()
For my 2 cents - I WOULD NEVER HAVE SCHEDULED MICHIGAN AGAIN (at least anytime soon) I would have liked to go out 1-0 in the Big House ---
No one could have foreseen going there with this years record, but even with the same team we had when we beat them I wouldn't have played them again. Don't play with magic!WVAPPeer wrote: For my 2 cents - I WOULD NEVER HAVE SCHEDULED MICHIGAN AGAIN (at least anytime soon) I would have liked to go out 1-0 in the Big House ---
100% my thinking too WVV.WVAPPeer wrote:Not really --- there's no spooky boogie man out there - we all know what is comingJCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?![]()

I can give you a million reasons ($) why the Michigan game makes sense. They haven't exactly had beat downs of light competition this year either. As for Georgia, have just a decent showing and it could really help land some recruits from the land of plenty.WVAPPeer wrote:Not really --- there's no spooky boogie man out there - we all know what is comingJCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?![]()

I still think the biggest day of my years at App was when myself and a bunch of buddies traveled to Columbia in 1975 and watched App beat a ranked South Carolina team. We ended up in some Columbia bar and played "Carolina in the Pines" on the juke box until they finally ran us out. Add to that, being in the Big House to witness the greatest upset in college football history was the best vacation of my life. If App had not scheduled those contests then those upsets couldn't have happened. Gotta reach for the impossible to make the impossible happen! (The big $$$ appearance fees don't hurt either)JCline0429 wrote:Same here.WVAPPeer wrote:Not really --- there's no spooky boogie man out there - we all know what is comingJCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?![]()

Not sure we have had or will any decent showings this season, but the schedule was made thinking past performances are indicative of future results. I guess we forget to read the disclaimer?SpeedkingATL wrote:I can give you a million reasons ($) why the Michigan game makes sense. Unfortunately, ever thread this season has had its elements of negativity. Just keeping it real. FWIW, I think we'll win at least one more game this season, however, it won't be easy.PhillyApp1 wrote:JCline....way to keep it positive..can you work on it a little please.JCline0429 wrote:Is anyone else already having nightmares about Georgia and Michigan?

Maybe we can land Michigan in basketball in the coming years. That would make the suspected loss much easier to take.kgblade wrote:Screw that. They called and the only real way to tarnish that win was for us to cower and not accept. Yes, we will get blown up. But, the downfall of this program has been so severe that it will not garner near the attention it could have. I know Michigan is hating it that we suck now because they would have loved it from a media standpoint if we only lost to Georgia this year. Yes, it will get brought up because it is Michigan and they will show some repeats of 07, but nobody is going to give it much airtime. It would be a waste of money. I am proud that we didn't tuck tail and run little school girls when it was MICHIGAN that made the call to us. Plus, it was the right thing to do on our part. Class call by App.
