App State / GA So. WX Trends - Official

Cold it looks to be my fellow Mountaineers. Buckle up and bundle up for some lingering cold for the High Country. Sunny skies expected for the day.

Early AM Tailgate (8AM) - 25° to start with temps warming through the 30s to lower 40s, towards the noon hour.

NOON - lower to mid 40s. Sunshine

KICKOFF - Upper 40s, Sunny

Half - Upper 40s, M.Sunny

End of Game - Partly cloudy Mid to lower 40s.

ASUMountaineer better bring some of that good old fashioned "Apple Pie" to the stadium! Should keep us all in our section NICE AND WARM! ;)

And I'm told we'll have several official and unofficial visits from football prospects this weekend. We need to do our best to make them feel warm and welcomed.

I'm glad you're calling for sunny skies. This is the time of the year our East Side seats really start to pay off!

***Thursday Update****

No major changes to the original post. Early Sat AM, lower 20s my be the norm for the early tailgate diehards!!

All in all, still on track for sunshine, but some darn fine football weather. Pass the Apple Pie!

Once a MOUNTAINEER... ALWAYS A MOUNTAINEER!!

This too shall pass... COURAGE!

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Apple Pie with cinnamon all around tonight. Well done Mountaineers... well done! Thanks to the diehards who were at the game and have been sticking with this team, this staff and this school through what has been a hard season all around. This my friends, may be a corner turned. Time, will tell, but from the intermittent ESPN3 feed, via some crappy DSL, here on the farm in Ohio, it was all clicking.

It's great to be a MOUNTAINEER!

One of the few times in quite a few decades that I overestimated
