Georgia Southern

Unread post by oldfart » Sun Oct 20, 2013 7:30 am

We were hoping you goathumpers would take care of Furple, start feeling better about yourselves, and be cocky this coming Saturday. It would have made our payback even sweeter. No matter I guess, we'll still have plenty of motivation. I know it's a bad feeling for you guys and I would normally revel in your misery but we've been there in 2006. Now, misery and records aside, it's game week and we're coming. We've beaten the best App teams and now we aim to do the same to the worst. While we do have a lot of sympathy for our present and future conference mates, no quarter will be given when we arrive in Boone.

Enjoy your trip to Boone. It's supposed to be pretty nippy Saturday.

I hate you guys, win or lose I will still hate you guys. So the end game is the same for me. Here's to hoping for a good hard close battle between the best the SoCon has. Travel safe.

Be sure to run the team bus through a car wash before you cross the NC state line to wash the stink off.

Have a safe trip up to Boone. Interesting how you all save money on tickets with inbreeding down there. Bring your wife, and sister, and cousin all on one ticket because she is the same person. :? See you both on Saturday.

It may be an ugly world in App State football these days.. but damn if we don't still harbor a healthy hate (respect) for our rival. Take some solace in that my friends... and stay thirsty...

I hope GSU brings a crowd. Charlie is going to need all of the money he can get to help fund our move up with all the empty seats that are going to be there from now on.

Repulsive post there about that GS needs to bring extra fans!! Check the attendance around the SoCon yesterday, 6000+ at WCU, 6000+ at Elon yesterday, 7000+(and that is a joke) at Furman. I bet their were less then 4000 in attendance. My faith in App Football and its fan base expects 25,000 for Saturday. If you prefer empty seats try another Small Con school.

Bitterness is not an attractive character feature. Perhaps you hope if you post enough of this tripe it will change things. Not going to happen. You can either be a fan or not. Most of the folks here will remain fans through thick and thin. Others I guess would rather snipe from the sidelines.

Travel safely. Here's to a rivalry that will survive this less than stellar season for App.

They are the ones probably leaving at half anyway. IF they DON"T show up we are aren't winning, they aren't fans anyway and they can just keep their A$$E$ at home and bitch about something rather than support the team they were supporting when we were winning....

All teams have ups and downs from time to time.......even the USA men's basketball team did!!!
