A dose of CROW: Prediction Thread

Unread post by asutrnr81 » Sun Oct 27, 2013 6:16 pm

WataugaMan took his dose on his own!

But I am gonna hand out a little just because there has been so much mess talked about these kids and their coaches.

While yesterday did not cure all the ills....for the first time since Montana and the KB fumble at the 5 we did not play yesterday trying not to lose!

Big "C", AppAttack, Black Saturday, MAD Doctor, SpiritCymbal, LongRifle28, Moonshine, Maddog1956 and CincyApp: The dose is delivered!

I admit I drink the koolaid, smell the roses, and my glass is always half full! I am realistic also....it takes longer for things to jell than we gave given the obstacles to success that were delivered in the pre-season, and the early season! Confidence is a strange element. I hope we continue with the improvement. I do not think UTC will be looking at us like they might....had we not won yesterday!

See ya Saturday!

Glad to be wrong! FYI - SpiritCymbal is a GSU fan.

Encouraging game. I hope we can build on yesterday's performance.

No problem 81, but I'd hope you'd be serving up roasted EAGLE! :D

I'll take mine smoked! I've kept the criticism to a minimum outside my own head. I understand this is going to be a process. I had yet to see the passion from the team in the losses from earlier this season but they brought it Saturday. I'm happy to eat this bird!

I was not expecting a win like yesterday's win. At the same time, I've been saying after each game that I saw improvement in some area and revelation of other areas that need work. I've been waiting each game to see it all come together. Yesterday was just plain fun :D

Does the team still have work to do? Of course! Was there more right than wrong yesterday? Oh yeah! Will I be in the stands next week? Good Lord willing!

It's still great to be a Mountaineer!

Great post, 81! I don't really feel a need to serve up crow to everyone who predicted a loss, but for those who took the extreme position (season is over, no more wins in the future, years before we win) a little crow might be in order. Even more, to those who had no reason and yet decided to NOT COME to a beautiful football day in Boone, I say....please place your orders!.

UTC will be a tough game. The team now has reason to BELIEVE and they have had a taste of success. I think we show up with an enthusiastic team and this Saturday is going to be a great game!

After eating my serving of crow and eagle stew, I look ahead to the Chatty game. I must admit, it is felt that the jury is still out. Another victory this Saturday would be enough to sway the jury in deciding that things have changed for the better. Speaking of jury stuff, I do have jury duty next month (Nov 12 - Dec 13) in St. Mary's County, Maryland - 3rd time since living up here.

My crow tasted sweet with some fresh steamed oysters, washed down with some Highland Brewing Thunderstruck Porter. Glad I was wrong. I hope to see a trend rather than an anomaly....
