Hope the crowd caught that and responded appropriately. Looking like another great day to be a Mountaineer!

i'm fairly sure no one in the crowd really noticed. he wasn't announced along with JLJ's mom. only reason i figured it was him was by catching a glimpse of his face on the jumbotron.

knowing Coach Moore, he wouldn't want to be announced because it would have taken attention away from the Sr's

i noticed too...no name mention. i know that man still smarts a little...but hopefully when the wolf flies the chicken coop, coach will be back...one thing ive noticed along with many others about coach and satterfield...coach really wants to know how you're doing as a person...satt seems not to be so involved. might not be a big deal but personalities sell a kid on coming to a school...satt needs to learn this. im not beating him up but instead hopefully someone will discuss with him the finer points of personality traits.

I noticed him and noticed a few other seniors getting a hug in as well. I would imagine Coach Moore would have requested that his presence be low key so the focus could remain on the jug, the seniors, and the chancellor as was most appropriate today.

Not true. My wife noticed & mentioned it to me. My response was that it could not be him because he was not announced as accompanying Ms. Jackson.

Pretty cool stuff!!

Satterfield doesn't care? I guess that's why his postgame presser started with an update on Peacock. Geez.

PBR its his first year...he cares and the kids know...thats why they regrouped and played their a$$ off the last 5 games.

Give Satt some time to mature and create his style. Jerry Moore is Jerry Moore...One and only....Almost ALL GOOD and a little bad

I was at the game yesterday and I didn't even realize that Coach Moore escorted JLJ's mom. I have to agree that he probably asked not to be announced in order to keep the focus on Jamal. I would have loved to give him the applause that he deserves, but I completely understand and agree that Jamal deserved the spotlight for this moment. Thank you to Jamal for all that he has done for the App program!

Coach Moore is a class act and I look forward to him receiving his own recognition. I hope the rift between Coach Moore and the university heals so that we can see more of him.

Regarding Satterfield, I haven't ever heard anyone question his relationship or interaction with the players. I think he will be just fine in building those relationships with his players.

im not trying to start any negative stuff at all and i didnt say that satt "doesn't care"...its just the difference in personalities. its something i have noticed and gleaned from others also interacting with him. of course he'll get his time to insert his style but all i was relaying was that i hope he becomes more demonstrative with the team and more proactive with the fans as well. he's a coach and he's also a salesman for the university to players and families. again...im not trying to start a heated discussion at all.

Moore has a grandfatherly persona Satterfield will only get with age. Sat's kids aren't teenagers yet. There is your difference. In 10 or so years, he will become more like a father/grandfather. That doesn't make him any less caring -- not that you were hinting at that.

According to some, Sat isn't yet a man, as he's not 40.

How did you think people were going to take that?

Satterfield gives great interviews and represents the school very well. The guy will never be good enough for some though.

Thanks Jamal your leadership has broken the ice. Your lessons on the field are carrying over to real life situations. This is the basis of what athletics teaches us. Now (powers that be) put Coach in the Hall of Fame next fall. Our athletic administration has the unique opportunity to "do more than is expected". Do the right thing as soon as possible and recognize all the positives produced during the era. Frame the legacy and push forward! STOP ALL SPIN on either side. Pride, tradition, and the good of the Mountaineer family must always outweigh petty politics.

The Hall is sponsored by the Former Athletes Association. This honor would be accepted by a man that has always tried to teach the real meaning of being a respectable citizen. Judge and praise the overall contribution and progress. Appalachian took tremendous strides thanks to all involved, celebrate them, and conquer the future.

That is true, but I challenge anyone to find a post in which I have spoken ill of Moore.
