Appalachian has an ugly campus...

according to some can't tool by the name of HAYWOOD(win1cat). The jealousy of these clowns tickles me. There is NO comparison between our campus and theirs. I've been there and that has got to be one of the most depressing places I've ever been.

I'm glad to be moving on. I'd be satisfied to never play them again in anything. I told my daughter at a very young age that I forbid her to ever think about going to school there because I didn't want my friends asking me why she didn't go to a better school. The place is a joke. If the state really wanted to save money, they should combine unc-a and ccc and close that hellhole. I'm sure the producers of The Walking Dead could use the dreadful surroundings to their benefit.

My son is a High School senior and is getting e-mails from colleges across the country asking him to apply. The most frequent and desperate e-mails come straight out of Cutaweed. I would be embarrassed if App were sending out e-mails like theirs.

Our campus can't be ugly. There's no purple.

WCU is a decent campus, better than it was before. However the atmospheres are completely different.

However it took a hit this week because of an incident at their highest-trafficked intersection.

They are an absolute joke. Littered with our cast off trash. Nobody chooses to go to that wasteland, they end up there because they were rejected by their first choise located in Boone NC. I disagree though, I don't want them to be closed or combined with another university, stupid rednecks need a place to go. I don't want them hanging out at our place bring the collective IQ down.

The jealousy on that board is borderline sad. Those who are most envious are the ones who talk the loudest. It's no wonder that the threads about App are always amongst the most popular over there.

They all say that they're looking forward to watching App lose in the Sun Belt, but if they were to be honest with themselves they would admit that they would give most anything for our success on the gridiron over the last 20-30 years. Heck, they want to be like App so badly that they even hired a bunch of our coaches. Unfortunately, their program has regressed to a point so deep that it may be years before they dig out. The facilities are below a lot of FCS schools, and even some D2 programs. They don't have the monetary support that is necessary to build their program, especially from an infrastructure standpoint.

It's programs like WCU that can pull us down. That's why I feel it was imperative that we move UP. I for one hope we never see them in Boone again.

The same idiot went on about our practice facility that looked "trashy" and just about everything else he could think of about ASU. I have been trying to keep my mouth shut over there but I couldn't resist pointing out that if only they had a trashy indoor practice facility also, they might be able to attract better recruits, too and maybe compete some day. I can't wait to see how many posts that attracted calling me juvinile names and telling me to stay off their board. They really are the lowest, most grade-school caliber morons of any fan base we ever compete with.

I have completely enjoyed every butt-kicking we've given them, but I too would be perfectly fine with never having their jealous little a$$e$ back up here ever again.

With all the development on Howard's knob overlooking Boone, WCU's campus is undeniably the more scenic.

Read that one last night too and had to laugh. CCC is one of the finest high schools in the state and they SHOULD be proud of that.

Cline has to be the biggest WCU supporter on the east coast. Also the only time I ever hear about UNC-C football is when he posts about it. If actions speak louder than words I'd swear he wasn't really a Mountaineer due to his continuous backing and support of WCU on here over the years. Even with development on the Knob our campus and locale is exceptionally more scenic.

That is absurd, Cline. I don't care if you're talking about surrounding terrain, the adjacent town or the campus layout/architecture itself, App is a much better looking campus. It's not even close either.

For the WCU folks…

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

I was referring to "scenic" not facilities, buildings, etc. I love ASU's campus more than any other I have ever visited including a couple of the Ivies. As much as I dislike Elon's fans, I love the architecture on their campus, but I'd much rather be in Boone.

Nor was I. ASU wins hands down.
