Sporting News has low opinion of our coach

The Sporting News has a very low opinion of Sat. I guess you have to start somewhere but that also means he has a lot of upside potential. Nowhere to go but up.

Couple this with our #126 ranking as a team in FBS and I would say we have "No Respect".

See rankings.

He likely took one look at our record last year and made his decision. I doubt he knows that Satt was the mastermind behind our offensive power in the three-peat years or that he turned a sorry FIU program into a bowl team in just two years.

Complete with about the most unflattering photo they could possibly find.

Certainly didn't give him much benefit of the doubt. Some of the coaches ahead of him don't exactly have a ton to recommend them either.

So one guy has an opinion. It is not against the law to be wrong.

Make no mistake I expect they will be proven wrong. I expect our entire coaching staff and team to use all this disrespect as motivational fodder and come out swinging.

Thank God....we'd all be serving life in prison if that were the case. ;)

Not to mention the fact that Satt also led App (first year in transition to FBS) to arguably the top recruiting class in the Sun Belt.

The guy has one year of head coaching experience and that was a losing season. I would expect he would be seen as the bottom of the barrel at this point.

Georgia States coach has one year in FBS and went 0-12 three of those losses to FCS schools. Food for thought.

Miles actually has 5 years as HC at Indiana State, and he was able to have 3 straight winning seasons before going to GSU. I can see why he would get a nod over Satt.

We have won 1 FBS game since 2006. We deserve the low ranking.

If we are ranked there in 2016...then I puke!

Really? Really? The sporting news has nothing better to talk about than to rank coaches in preseason? That is about the most worthless meaningless stat I've ever seen.

Just like all the news programs they have to justify their existence so they talk about nothing.
