I know it isn't the most telling statistic but Lamb is currently the leader in Sun Belt passing efficiency. Still a freshman last time I checked.

When Lamb signed, I said:
"I think he may end up being a much more important recruit than some are thinking."

That's what I thought at the time...but I didn't think it would happen this quickly. I watched some film of Saturday's game. Cox had a great game, but Lamb's improvement (and the OL's improvement) are obvious.

Going through the whole list of categories, it's great to see Southern and us in the top two spots all over the place. Individual stats also with Brieda and Cox at the top in several categories. And all the naysayers were so certain that it would take us years to be competitive in this division...Bah!

Of course when you look at the special teams related stats, we're last or next to last in damn near every category, so that gives us a pretty emphatic indication on what we really need to beef up (as if we didn't know already) but when we can properly address that, look out, Belt!

I wouldn't call him the best at this moment, but I would say he is the smartest. Its amazing how cool he is under pressure, and he just keeps making the right decisions, if you watched the last 2 ballgames, you would swear he is a senior, no doubt being the son of a coach has really helped prepare him. But, if there is something he needs to work on its improving his arm strength, not bad, just needs to be alittle stronger, and add some muscle, the kids not very big, every time he gets hit hard, I'm holding my breath he gets up.

I actually like his arm strength. Only thing I would do is run him on the first play of the game so he gets hit. Seems to get the early game jitters out that he struggles with.

ya, your right, the first couple of series, he seems to be alittle jittery, but once he settles down, he is ready to go.

I would agree about the arm strength - not bad but room for improvement which I am sure will happen - cool customer 8-)

I'd say Broadaway, based on resume... And Ellison has been special, but Lamb isn't far behind.

I'm very much looking forward to him getting a full offseason to work and prepare as the starter!

i'd put Lamb over Ellison. Ellison is more RB than QB. GS's better QB is probably Favian Upshaw, from a passing standpoint

Wow, we look great in several categories. Obviously deficient in special teams. Get that cleaned up in the offseason and we'll really be onto something the next few years!

I hear ya... He does what's required in that offense to make it go in a big way. That's my measurement. Lamb has the potential to be an App all-timer, and thus eventually the best in the Sun Belt, for sure.
