700 Club (S&C Donations)

No this is not a thread about a TV show hosted by Pat Robertson, nor is it about an exclusive group of home run hitters.
The Appalachian State 700 Club is for those proud Mountaineer fans that want to show their APPreciation by stepping up to support our athletes after a great run to finish the 2014 season. The original idea of doing something $mall, that could yield big results, came about after reading an article (Scout), featuring Coach Iron Mike, mentioning he would like tendo units and the APP STATE PROUD thread (WXAPP) here on the MMB. Thanks to our main man Moose for reaching out and getting the info below.
Per Coach Iron Mike, he can purchase tendo units for around $1,500 per device. He requested 7 units would be needed to satisfy his system of training. That gives us a goal of $10,500 to reach. With the guys getting prepared for the 2015 season, I thought a $15 donation would be fitting and affordable for our fans here at holiday time. Dividing the goal of $10,500 by $15 brings about the 700 club. For those needing that extra end of year tax write-off, please feel free to increase your donation.
Coach also mentioned to Moose that if we were unable to fully fund the tendo unit project, he could use 14 trap bars to outfit the entire weight room for a cost of $5,200. I'd say if we are able to exceed the $10,500 tendo project, the additional funds would be used towards the trap bars and a total of $16,000 would fully fund both requests made by Coach Iron Mike. This equipment can assist the S&C program in helping our student athletes reach their peak performance and put our Mountaineers on a course to be Sun Belt Champions next season.

Here is your chance to step up! We need 700 posters/fans to make a tax deductible donation of at least $15 to make the tendo project happen. Please spread the word and feel free to donate more and help us to fulfill Coach Iron Mike's entire wishlist!
'Tis the season for giving!!!
Moose pulled some strings and got this all set up with the folks on campus. As mentioned, these donations will be tax deductible and you should be receiving a receipt. Please make your checks payable to the ASU Foundation (include fund#92809 in the memo ) or jump online to make your tax deductible donation at https://secure.www.alumniconnections.co ... _id=164841 . Once there, the donors should select Athletics/Yosef Club in the top drop down box. Then, select Strength and Conditioning in the second box.

tampered with the seal on my mason jar so it won't hurt my feelings if you all want to change the "700 Club" name...it sounded good at the time. The other name I came up with was the Elevation Club and have everyone donate $33.33 which would only require 315 donors to reach the original $10,500 goal.**
