Found this on a MWC board. Getting some love. Hopefully Satt has the guys ready to come out of the gate firing on all cylinders this season.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, however, we have the potential to be a lot better than that #9 selection. Time will tell.

This App team really needs to come out of the gates flying after horrible starts the last 2 seasons. If that happens, the fans will come out in force and The Rock will become the dominate venue it needs to be as was for many years prior.

We have the potential for a good season, but until we can consistently hit field goals and extra points, then this talk of running the table after the Clemson game is WAY too optimistic.

Exactly right, '78. There's also a delicate balance somewhere between starting too slowly and peaking too soon. Knowing where that balance is and how to achieve it year-after-year may be the difference between $350,000 head coaches and $700,000 head coaches. We're all hoping Scott is on the fast track to the latter!AppGrad78 wrote:We have the potential for a good season, but until we can consistently hit field goals and extra points, then this talk of running the table after the Clemson game is WAY too optimistic.
Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.
