Back-up at QB

Unread post by asutrnr81 » Mon Oct 01, 2012 6:47 pm

As of right now Hallock is the back up at QB....Barnes out for season, Bryant out for season, leaves Hallock as the back-up....as the only other QB listed is a Fr. from Wilkes: Villanueva (No Number listed)...What do we do if JJ goes down....I like Hallocks moxie, but is he a solution?

I suggest we give Lott some snaps at QB because he might have to come back to the offensive side. Anyone else got any suggestions?

I think Logan Hallock is actually a RS Soph. Heaven forfid anything happens to JJ, but Hallock looked good in spring and IS the backup. Is he over his injury though?..he was holder for kicks last year, but has not come back since injury. Also, I think Magloire was a QB in high school, maybe another backup? Stay healthy #12! 8-)

Satterfield has been smart to not have JJ run as much as previous QBs. Either by his own design or due to the fact that JJ just prefers pass first.

Armanti got the crap beat out of him every year due to how much he ran.

Hopefully all works out that JJ stays healthy and then next year we have Barnes back (hopefully) and a healthy Bryant.

Bryant looked good, though until he went down

That's true about AE - however his injuries occured when he was passing in the pocket and had his feet planted ---

I'm thinking one of the Elon late hits was on the visiting sideline, on a busted play.

yeah with Elon there were many to choose from - his junior year the one that really did the most damage was in the pocket at the knee and then another elon guy slammed him and I think that one hurt his shoulder
In his sr year in the "game of the century" at Elon it was right at the end of the 1st half and he was throwing a long pass from the pocket and that dirty DE Elon had came in and hit him right on the knee - his plant knee - I remember this one well because I showed the slow-motion of the hit to my best friend who is an orthopedist and just a split second before the hit AE had released the ball and started to raise his plant leg and my friend said if he hadn't released and still had his leg planted that hit might have cost him his career ----
And let's not forget the head to head shot they gave DeAndre the next year as he was running up the middle - knocked him out of the game ---

Well, that's SORT OF correct. One of his injuries occured when he was actually FINISHED passing on a roll-out and took a late hit....but your point if well taken. It wasn't a running play.
