I think I'll choose to go to a school that has put an emphasis on football for decades and then try to change that while I'm there.

This is a sound strategy. Also, I think I'll go for free too while I'm at it.

I appreciate students and faculty getting after this .....however this protest should have started much earlier and at the Statehouse steps. To the protesters, if you are truly dedicated to this cause you need to go to Raleigh and raise the issue there. Organize faculty and students from all of the UNC system schools and let your voices be heard. I am afraid this effort tomorrow will be seen as shallow, opportunistic and attention seeking....which is what I see. Good luck with your misguided attempt and open your eyes and discover the real problem, Raleigh. And get off your ass and vote.

Seems to me they're most upset about the disruption in parking...wonder how they would have survived parking at Horn In The West with no cushy Applecart.

For real. And honestly, THERE ARE LOTS OF OPTIONS when it comes to choosing a non-football school. So go there. Just shhh. It's ok. We'll forget this ever happened. *pats protesters heads*

What short-sighted, stupid, narcissistic, dumb-a$$, sons-o-bitches!! And, yes, I mean the protestors.

Don't they know that this game is for the benefit of the alumni? They can give up their parking spaces for me, and other fellow alums. I'm pretty sure we have earned it.

It is also for the benefit of ASU. The chance to showcase our campus to a nationwide TV audience is a rare event. Couple that with the opportunity to kick some Iggle tail, well, it don't get much better.

Instead of protesting, if they don't want to support their team, they can go study something. I too was a bookworm at one point. Now, though, I'd rather watch some football. Maybe one day, after said protestors possess the skills and experience I do, then they might have the wisdom and finances to have season tickets. Ptooie.

I lived in Horn apartments down the hill from Horn in the West last year, and would walk to campus everyday to class except for when it was raining. The 1 mile to Anne Belk every day wasn't too bad. The cold and snow was quite refreshing. Only time I rode the Appalcart was when it was raining.

This group of students probably only consists of about 10 people, who are doing a lot of complaining about nothing.

What does this have to do with their point?

"• In 2014 the average salary of employees with “chancellor” or “provost” in their title was $148,659.14.

Pack your Subaru and enroll in UNCG, UNCA, UNCW, or UNCC.

None of them have football teams, you will find the cost of tuition is about the same and you can devote all of your time to protesting Chickfila's presence in the public dining facility. Obviously these sheep just want attention that their parents failed to give them.

The really sad and embarrassing thing about this is the fact that faculty are facilitating these young idiots.

Sounds to me like this is more faculty than students. Sad little nerds. Games like this can generate entire new streams of income for the school. Go hang out at the library!

As a student, I'm gonna do a walkout and go tailgate a few hours early ;)
But really, these few are pathetic. They don't even know how dumb they are looking. They're being laughed at by 99.9% of their fellow peers.

The worst part about it is what they're actually upset about, they should be upset about. Tuition costs have gotten to be ridiculous all across the board and in return budgets are cut. With a global economy college should be more affordable. This group was completely misguided in their attempt and instead it looks like they're complaining about parking spots and a football game. On Facebook the group responded to me by saying they were "literally losing the ability to attend scheduled classes" and "teachers are losing the ability to teach due to an athletic event." It also seems they have no real grasp on how the university system works.

That's nice, maybe some of the more devoted ones will rush onto the field before the game and provide the crowd with some pre-game entertainment compliments of the Boone PD.

OK internet tough guy, how exactly does this protest have anything whatsoever to do with politics?
