Idaho to remain on App's schedule
Per the Scout.com Idaho board, they drop Georgia Southern and Arkansas State for the next two seasons, picking up ULL and Ga. State. So we know the Vandals will be back in Boone in 2016. Go App!

Re: Idaho to remain on App's schedule
I haven't thought this through completely, but at first look, I guess this means we pick up NM State and Texas State? I wonder who we're dropping then? The next furthest out would be stAte and ULL, the two teams the Stink has yet to play. We're not dropping GS, GSU or Troy, surely, that would be criminal. So it's gotta be from stAte, ULL, ULM or USA.

We know for certain that one of the ones we lose is stAte. My bet is that the other is ULM or ULL.

Re: Idaho to remain on App's schedule
I would think we would rotate some teams out so we play TX State and NM State. And for the love of football will the SB schedule GASO and stAte for once? We've had the toughest schedule of the league the past two seasons having to play them both and neither have had the pleasure to reciprocate.

When those two fan bases start going after each other it might be one of the funniest things to sit back and watch or it might bring on Armageddon. I'd say it's a toss up.hotrod2001 wrote:I would think we would rotate some teams out so we play TX State and NM State. And for the love of football will the SB schedule GASO and stAte for once? Re: Idaho to remain on App's schedule
The stAte fanbase seems to like to talk a lot of $#!t. Which, I guess they can since they beat us and lead the SBC. But I'd like to see how they handle the Stink and see if they still have all that swagger to their message board postings.firemoose wrote:When those two fan bases start going after each other it might be one of the funniest things to sit back and watch or it might bring on Armageddon. Re: Idaho to remain on App's schedule
Assuming one of the adds (TX State and NMSU) is a Home game and one is away, then the other dropped team would have to be ULM or South Alabama. Since we know we will have home games with Ga State, Idaho, TX State or NMSU, we would need another home game to get to 4. That would be ULM or South Alabama based on this seasons away games. ULL would be an away game next year along with Troy GS and (NMSU or Texas State). Does anyone follow my logic? LOL

I just can't see complaining about the schedule. This not a tough conference by any stretch. I thought we came to play better competition. I want to play the most difficult schedule in the conference.

We can give them good payback in the first conference championship game, down the road. It'll sting more for them.

I don't mid playing a tough schedule. But when we are playing the toughest schedule in the league for TWO seasons while the Stink is playing the easiest, I think there is room for a little complaining. I really don't like unbalanced scheduling but it is what it is for now. when we have divisions and a championship game, it will shake out. In the meantime, with A State rotating off and NMSU and Texas State coming on, we're looking at things easing up for us significantly next year. Granted Troy and GA State seem to be trending up.

Home SBC games in 2016 - Ga State, Idaho, ULM, Tx State
Away SBC games in 2016 - at stink, at ULL, at NMSU, at Troy
we drop South Alabama and Ark State would be my guess. Go App!

Luv , I agree. We are dropping Ark st therefore the other drop will be a team we played away this year, either USA or ULM.

Re: Idaho to remain on App's schedule
Not necessarily. If all conference schedules are two-year deals, then it's not out of the question that one team could either host or go on the road twice in a row over a four-year period. At the end of four years, home vs. away would be 2-2.Saint3333 wrote:Luv , I agree. We are dropping Ark st therefore the other drop will be a team we played away this year, either USA or ULM.
