We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Must purchase through AppState. This is how bowl committees measure Tix sales and the schools following. Appears that GaSo blew our doors off with pre sales which is why the #2 selection went to them. Spread the word!

There were several metrics in play; pre-sale was one but so was maximizing the number of fans the conference as a whole will take to the bowls. I spoke with a writer/bowl prognosticator who said that proximity of fan base to the particular bowl (for the Go Daddy and Camellia) was/is a major factor. I still believe our folks should have had "Bowl Info" boots set up Saturday at Kidd Brewer.

This is message board speculation. The only thing I have seen from anyone remotely connected to the process is that App plays in Mobile this weekend and they implied that GaSo was the better team even though we beat them head to head. Here's my message board speculation, Southern's moral victory at Georgia got some people's attention. The organizers have no idea how well either fan base will attend bowl games so they picked the team they thought could compete with the MAC champion. If I am right they chose the wrong team. They are extremely one dimensional and if they face a team that can stop the run and throw the ball they will get their doors blown off just like they did in Boone. Who ever they play gets two weeks to focus on them and you can bet they will be watching film of App State whip their asses during much of that time. So suck on that stink.
In the end I am glad we are in Montgomery and I will be there!!

This is NOT just message board speculation. The bowls look at prior bowl attendance (no history for us there) and presold tickets. Next time you run into an App Athletics employee ask them how important presold tickets are and how important tickets purchased through our ticket office are for these games.
These bowls want butts in seats and $$$ in their pockets.

I meant that they blew our doors off is speculation. That might eventually be confirmed but at this point I think there was more at play. I agree pre-sale numbers are important.

It was certainly due to pre-sold tickets and shorter travel distance, but that doesn't really mean they sold a ton more tickets. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the difference was in the 500 range, but with them being closer they are the safer bet going forward as well. The date really hurt the GoDaddy this year.

Do you think we can add a couple of tickets to what we pre-ordered and get them all together?

Any idea when we will get the tickets if we ordered them through the school before Nov. 30th?

The purchase will not not be pushed thru until Monday after the official announcement of which bowl we go to.

I'm sure you can. Just call the ticket office and they should be able to add to your order.
From my understanding, we are given "X" amount of tickets and the university has to buy what we don't sell. I could be wrong, but that's my understanding.

Yep, just called and added 5 more tickets to my original 2 tickets. Go Apps! Beat USA and then focus on the MAC.
