What the heck is going on with the lack of information from our SID or whatever its called now. Where is the GameDay Central?? If he wanted to use a different format fine DO IT. We have to hear and read quotes from other sources. What's up with that. Are you telling me you can't do some video interviews with coaches. This is our premier sports team and we are getting ready to play a preseason top ten opponent and there is not one in-depth article on appstatesports???? The two-deep was not released until Moose posted it today. Listen I get that there has been a lot of staff transition... but really. In another life I worked in ECU athletic marketing office. This would have not been tolerated.

Yeah... seems to be lacking as compared to years past. DJ and Mike were both big drivers with a lot of things. Here's hoping they stop having trouble with the curve and get on it!

We have a new group in SID, as noted, and they are still trying to get everything figured out and in line. Plus the crush of the Miami game and all the requests has put a huge time crunch on them. They are aware of it and it will get better as the season moves on. Just bad timing is all. Let's show just a bit of patience and I believe it will come together soon.

It has ESPN listed as the network. I had heard and UT-K has it posted that the game will be on the SEC network, which is part of the ESPN networks but in most cases an entirely different programming package for many pay-TV subscribers.

The Game Notes were posted under the football section yesterday afternoon when I checked even though GameDay Central wasn't available yet. Depth chart and game notes are typically posted Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning so they are inline with that.

To add to Firemoose's comments we have to also keep in mind this is a short week for everyone.

The game is on the SEC Network (ch 611 on DirecTV).

I mean, they did do daily practice reports for the first 2-3 weeks, daily ATM that mostly focus on football, and now written position previews. I wouldn't say it's been a total vacuum.

While we're on the subject of Sports Information Directors, some of you may remember former SID Rick Layton from the Bobby Cremins era. Through the generosity of our own bh2oson, Rick will attend the Miami game. It'll be Rick's first game back at App since the early 80s. For those who would like to catch up with Rick, he'll be tailgating with the Outsiders crew in the Duncan Lot. Come say hello.

I'd love to see Rick. Not sure he'd remember me but I always enjoyed working with him as a WASU staffer. He always treated me like everyone else in the media. That's in sharp contrast to his successor who treated me like crap when I really was a working media member as sports director at WATA. I never was a fan of any of our subsequent SID's since Rick.

I've been pretty disappointed in the info flow since April. The latest thing was Mountaineer Talk. I get that we added TuneIn Radio, but there was no link ANYWHERE on AppStatesports.com site to be able to get to the show. I also couldn't find it through any radio station locally here in RDU, where as in years past it was on the FAN.

I don't think the Fan is an affiliate anymore. Not sure when that happened - maybe this year. I just checked the '16-'17 affiliates and it appears it has moved to 99.3 and 620 am the Buzz.
