Baseball is now 5th place, half a game behind Georgia Southern and Southern Miss who are tied for 3rd, but also half a game ahead of Coastal, ODU and JMU in 6th-8th.

Stealing that tie in Jonesboro could be of great benefit at the end.

How are we feeling on Victory sweep Monday?

Big battle looming vs. the Deacs tomorrow in Shelby! Hoping for good weather and good attendance. Anyone know if it's on ESPN+?

Just checked Wakes record. It's not that great. Not bad, but not what you'd expect from a team coming off a season ranked #1 for seemingly majority of the season and finished ranked 3rd.

I don't really follow college baseball outside of App. Did Wake lose a ton of talent? Or was last year just a perfect storm for them?

Looks like the game is not televised. Not sure if that park in Shelby is set up for it or not.

Hope they don’t change the pitching rotations just to beat Wake.

They lost the a lot of pitching, the best pitcher in the nation. They still have talent but maybe not as much depth? They've lost a few midweeks to lesser opponents...Elon, UNCW and UNCG. While the record doesn't indicate it, Wake is 16th in RPI.

With the way we've been hitting, anything is possible!

Wake is ranked #15 in Baseball America…. speaking of rankings…. It’s weird to see CC and JMu ranked higher than us in RPI and they are below us in conference standings…. Just saying….. they way over value SOS…… guess we’ll see at the end of the season.

Troy swept CCU in Conway this past weekend. Everything seems wide open.

JMU played 4 against Arkansas (#1 team) and took 1 of those, thus the high RPI. Coastal has played some solid series as well. Similar to NET in basketball, it helps to play the big schools.
Not sure why we didn't play a P5 this year as that's usually the norm. We're in the hunt though, all that matters!

Yes 311… I know it’s like the NET…. and CC played 11 P5 games and JMU played 6….we have played 2 after tomorrow….. my point was that it is weird/unusual to see CC in 6th place and JMU in 7th….. but CC in 24 and JMU 30 in RPI……..is at 74………. I know everything is still in front of us…..

Did anybody hear how the Georgia State left-hander is doing after he exited the game Saturday?

I think that speaks volumes to the rest of the Sun Belt catching up to the usual top dogs. Just like football; The rest of the belt caught up to us. Now the rest of the belt in baseball can hang with Coastal/UL/Troy/USM. Just a really really good conference! My guess is that those 4 make the Tourney and 1 of JMU/APP/GaSo.
