Too many unknowns. OCC schedule wont really tell anything. SHOULD get a winning record out of it but a lot like all sports - lots of new pieces that will have to mesh quickly.

Another sugar daddy. Arky State had the worst facilities. Now they don’t. Impressive.

I did see a conceptual rendering for our indoor expansion last week though…progress.

Last season was decent up until the USM and Coastal series, then it fell off a cliff, even against worse teams later in the year.

Losing Steensma and the Saturday guy was also killer. Had no starting depth.

It will be interesting to see how quick they gel this year. Don't think hitting will be a problem. Let's see if this pitching coach is a "guru" as it's been advertised. WEAK non-conf schedule should help make the record look better early. Just like in football you have no idea how these guys are going to perform (most where late pick ups in the TP for a reason) and with most of the same pitching staff back hopefully there are major changes in philosophy being used. Please stay away injury bug!

Kermit spent a lot of time/energy last season moving fielders into various positions to see where they might perform best. Fielding errors seemed to be up, compared to past years.

I wondered if that had to do with kids not having adequate time to acclimate to a position before being moved somewhere else.
I hope this can be avoided in 2026.
