I had hoped this would be a break through year , meaning consistent , fundamentally sound , maybe stealing a few from the upper echelon and being a tough out in the tournament . Monroe isn't very good , it was sobering.

When the Baseball Twitter account stops Tweeting the score after the second inning and crops the highlights so the score bug isn't showing, that's bad.

I'm not ready to give up on Kermit, but next year needs to be better.

At this point, I don't see how it can get any worse next season. In the mean time, as the season has progressed we are regressing more and more. In most games we're not competitive at all. I can't put my finger on it, but, I sincerely hope KS can get things turned around.

I'm not privy to this info, although I could ask, but I feel that Kermit decided at a certain point that weekdays games didn't matter and just focused on conference and/or weekend games.

It feels like the ECU and UNCW series in consecutive weekends shattered this team's confidence, then again when they should have swept Georgia State but gave up a monster 9th inning in the third game. Then the same thing happened in the second game versus ULM last weekend and they haven't won since.

They'll have a chance in the conference tournament because the format is dumb, but man this has been a rough slog.

This season has been painful at times but I'm not ready to give up on Coach Smith at all. The team/program are still better than they were before he took over. We had a very tough OOC schedule this year and that seems to have backfired on us. We don't have the pitching staff (bullpen) to hang with better teams. This is a very "lay person" opinion since baseball really isn't my sport, but it is seems a couple of good recruits/players are the difference between where we are and being over 500. I do hope he can get it back on track since another year like this would probably be a back breaker.

Friday night we were competitive due to Tuthill .The other games were blowouts. Miami isn't our measuring stick but it was interesting to watch. We looked really slow .I think we have two or three guys that could play at that level. Anyway it went about as expected.

I've said before and I'll say again, Coach Smith will go down as one of the greatest coaches to ever wear the Black & Gold. ...but this season isn't helping my stance.

If we had 2 more Kendall McGowen's and Bailey Welch's on this roster it would be a different story. The bullpen has been a liability all year. Fingers crossed a regular off-season will help add strength and consistency out of the pen.

We posted this over on ASM but due to weather and bad luck our first swings of the days on Friday and Sunday were in game as we got no batting practice Thursday, Friday, or Sunday (Saturday was the only day we got a full session) while Miami got full practice/pregame in all days. Subtle but one has to figure it didn't help our already lagging bats.

Nice win last night over Little Rock! Nice to see our guys get a win after a rough couple of weeks. Hopefully we can find a way to pull it off today and secure a conference series win

It has to be said...Little Rock easily has one of the ugliest and worst facilities in the country.

GO APPS!!

We made some good plays defensively, well except for one really bad one,to keep it close. Their guy pitched a strong game and shut us down .Or we can’t hit. Pick one.

Good win for the Apps. Hope we’ll use sunglasses next time. Three balls lost in the sun amounted to another inning of work for the pitching staff. As best as I could tell, all of the drops came without sunglasses.

One of our better outings , top to bottom. Nice surprise from our third day pitching. I think LR used a dozen.

Well next up we've got USC which is a likely loss and then hopefully we can squeak one by from South Alabama before the Tournament

Down 1-0 but I like what I see from the freshman pitcher.

Well, our freshman has give them one hit through 3. But it was over the wall. Has given one hit thru 3.
