Throw strikes.
Just spewed my 2nd cup of coffee.
I do believe our first guy today on the bump is a "crafty lefty". Not much velo but he can pound the zone.
Then a 6'5 heat thrower tomorrow.
Excited to see what we have on the mound.
That could be a nasty 1-2 punch for opposing hitters to get use to.
Hopefully, "crafty" means ball movement. If not much velocity...could be a Bad News Bears situation before they found the girl ace.
😂😂😂
Impressive bio on the website. Went a combined 13-0 across 2 seasons in JUCO with 3 complete games last season. I don't care what level you're playing at, that's impressive. We'll see how it translates to D1. Supposedly he carries himself like he's got a 12 inch wrench between his legs, which is the exact type of swagger I want to see from a crafty lefty! So thankful we start at 1pm. Can't wait!

The Centerfield fence is quite the poke.
So they must use a temporary fence
Dimensions: 328' (L), 350' (C), 328' (R)

Thats not as fun now.

350 to center seems short.

I hope so. He's 14-0 last two years with a sub 3.00 ERA. So, he's doing something right. I think.
We will find out as the season goes on. Would be nice to have a guy that has command and some velo.

Kid can spot up. For sure. Huge comeback that inning to get 2 K's.
Probably a little bit of nerves just missing high with fastball.

Let's get those bats going.

When's the last time you saw 2 Friday starters that threw below 88 MPH? 88 might be generous.

That is worrisome on our side. Curve and changeup better be ++.

I mean it can work but gotta have few mistakes. Interesting to see 2nd time around in order and how he adjusts.

Wonder what his pitch limit is for today? 60,75?

Got himself in tough situations. But got out of them mostly! Some big outs with RISP.

Pressing at the plate early. Work the at bats!

Early in season. First start - he's battling.

That being said take those preseason "reports/hype" with a grain of salt ;)

Sort of kidding
