New year , new team.
Tip off dinner was a great evening. Tubby Smith a first class human being with some great Bobby Cremins stories. The guys really seem to like one another and coaches believe we can go ten deep. I think we surprise the league.

I’ve noticed that the freshman, Neal, hasn’t been in any photos or social media posts lately. Hope everything is ok with him. He looks to have tons of potential.

Re: New year , new team.
That's awesome! We had some really good players graduate the last couple of seasons, but Kerns has managed to go out and grab some really nice fits for the program. Did they share any information on a possible extra game or two? I believe they alluded to having some room if an opportunity presented itself.

Re: New year , new team.
They tried to work out a neutral-site game in Pensacola against a west coast team but the logistics were too much to overcome. I believe the extra game (I’m guessing a home-and-home series) is the one on the road against Dartmouth.

I am very optimistic about this basketball season. Can't give any other reason other than a feeling. Though I will say having Njock back is part of it.

Georgia Southern transfer Eren Banks seems to be drawing a lot of praise from the coaching staff.

Around a month ago, I heard that Neal is the real deal.
Looking forward to see a healthy Njock.

Neal's photo is not on the new roster. Hopefully I'm not reading too far into it.

Re: New year , new team.
I don’t know if this will be a good season or not, but we have more playmakers and shooters than last season. And Kerns can coach good defense. So I’m optimistic.

Re: New year , new team.
I’ve been told we showed promise in the scrimmage . Flashes of being able to compete at a high level. I think we have one more before the season starts.

Awesome to hear. We've been so fortunate to have Kerns. I feel like regardless of the recruiting/portal situation he's got guys on the court ready to compete.

Re: New year , new team.
I’ve seen Banks play so know what he brings. Interested to see the progression of Luke Wilson and Michael Marcus. Who of the incoming transfers besides Banks will be the biggest impact. Jennings and Tot seem like Tate potential type players. Will any of the 3 freshmen have an immediate impact? Also, really hoping we get to see a healthy Njock.

Re: New year , new team.
I believe two of the three freshmen are likely to redshirt this season. Also, unless we hit on a too-good-to-pass-up player, we likely won’t recruit a high school freshman for next season.
