I’m a big fan of Justin Forrest. I can’t remember the last time we had a player who was as gritty and fearless and aggressive as he is. Yet, ever since he arrived on campus, he’s had one significant flaw to his game. He rushes his shots. He rarely gives his body time to get synched up before he lets a shot fly. I would have hoped by now that his dad or the Fox regime and/or now the Kearns regime would have ironed that out. But here we are … with an extremely gifted athlete who continually struggles with shooting.

Big fan of the coach and team, but we are not good. We can’t shoot. We do try hard.
This is probably the fairest assessment I’ve seen of us. We never give up. Gritty bunch.

I’m glad we got hot at the absolute right moment last season to make a tournament run, but we just don’t have enough talent right now to be competitive for an entire season. Hopefully we catch fire again in February.

Every time I watch us play it looks like probably on 75% of our offensive possessions we struggle to get what looks like an easy shot

I would be happy if we struggled to get easy shots on 3/4 our possessions. It’s more like we struggle to even get crappy looks 75% of the time. We’ll be fortunate to get 3 road wins in conference. Hope I’m wrong cause these guys do play hard.

I had not been down there in years and forgotten what a crackerbox it is.Good atmosphere though , hostile crowd , as they have a lot of support. Furman beat Louisville a few weeks back on the road .That's pretty impressive no matter who you are. They created matchups that they wanted and took advantage of them .Plenty of homecooking from my vantage point throughout the game.We had a couple of chances to take the momentum but couldn't get it done.SoCon looks to have four or five pretty good teams , including FU. Anyway drove back disappointed with the loss but not the effort.
