Looks like we lost by one in an exciting finish after going up by one with less than 10 seconds on the clock.

Once again the ladies fall behind by double digits then rally only to lose another close one. With the loss ASU (6-3) is now in fifth place in the SoCon 1/2 game behind Samford and trail Chattanooga and Davidson by 2 1/2 games. Elon is third at 8-2.

The Apps have yet to beat a team with a winning record this season. Saturday the women host Elon in a huge game if the Apps have any hopes taking the regular season crown. ASU does get to play Davidson, Chattanooga, and Samford at home.

With 7 of the last 11 games being at home, and 4 of those being the 1st game of of a doubleheader with the men, our ladies should be fine. 2 seed going into Socon at worst imo. They can win tourney. And we all know the auto bid is the only one NCAA gives smallcon, men or women.

Just listened to Darcie's comments after last night's loss to Samford. She really threw her seniors under the bus by name. This is a very experienced team and they don't seem to be playing that way. I'm not sure if they entered this season overconfident due to their past successes. Thus far, they have not met the challenge of the season. Right now they are fifth best in the conference without a win all season long against a team with a winning record. Darcie really seems at wits end with the "stupid" play of her starters.

The second half of the season should be very interesting. This team in the past has been either 1 or 2 in the SoCon during the regular season and then faltered in the SoCon tournery. Maybe this year they jell at the right point in the late season.
