I don't get this at all. The Holmes center needs enthusiasm...nothing else. Maybe new carpet and paint. I haven't thought about having to walk up a lot of steps to get in...that does need to be addressed. I would do that with a walkway from the new parking deck to the Holmes center, and please put two exits out of the parking deck. It took forever to get out of River street parking deck Saturday.

$30,000,000
What’s the scope of work for $30,000,000?
Can build a new arena at that cost.
You can build a 600,000 SF Industrial building at that cost.

Hold off on East Side Expansion.
Keeping shell and bones , gutting, redsign and upgrade. Assuming no surprizes.
I’m a contractor add a minimum 10% to that.
I would not be surprised.

We've got 30k people walking up a damn mountain to get into KBS we can't get 4k to walk up two flights on stairs?

The excuses for basketball attendance over the past 20 years are something else. Just win like last Sunday and it will take care of itself.

If UNC or Duke are playing on TV at or close to the same time as our games, students and many others won’t be attending App games. Kinda just the way it is.

If we can't sell out an 8,000 seat arena for Auburn we don't need that many seats. I'd love to go back to varsity but it isn't possible. We've got similarly sized arenas to that of Boston College, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Houston. We simply don't need that big of an arena but I realize Holmes is a multi-purpose facility.

I would love to see the number of seats reduced, but it’s a convocation center first. Maybe a renovation could add flexible, storable seating for concerts and graduation while reducing basketball seating.

How many mid majors pack their arenas on mid week games? It seems like every road Belt game I watch the other places are filled with empty seats.

I don't think matching other SBC programs attendance is the goal lol

I am just really curious about mid majors in general and yes the bar isn't very high in the Sunbelt

We’ve all got to can it with this self defeatism attitude. That is a narrative that Southern fans throw in our faces to troll us. Nothing else. If we talk about games like they’re can’t miss and students talk about games like they’re can’t miss then they’ll be can’t miss.
