Seton Hall and Nova are both in already.

Prior to that game, Joe Lunardi and Jerry Palm both had Seton Hall in the play-in round. Even after that win, they are 63 in the NET.

Also prior to the game, Lunardi had Nova as one of his last four byes, while Palm had them out entirely.

Now, I would argue your guess is as good as theirs. But I don't see how anyone can say definitively that both are in.

The Big East is a power conference in basketball. Their teams are always going to get the benefit of the doubt.

Oregon St beating Utah last night was certainly helpful for JMU's edge case. They could very well pass Utah in the Net Rankings with today's update. They could still pretty conceivably move up to a Quad 2 loss if they can grab another win or two.

You would've thought so, with the added benefit of the Oregon State win helping our SoS a bit.

In reality, Utah only drops one spot for losing to a 12-17 team ranked 160 in the NET. Must be nice.

State, Vanderbilt, Temple (coach in 1st year but trouble there), Miami (retirement rumors), UT Grand Valley (the coach who did fairly well at APU). I’m sure there are others already. I think St. John's is still squarely on the bubble. Though probably ahead of both us and JMU, unfortunately.

Villanova also loses at home to Creighton. Their NET will still be fine, but at 17-14, surely they need at least a win or two in the conference tourney?

All that said, whatever at-large hopes we have (if any) will not be helped by the narrow escape against a 9-24 opponent today. Our own NET is borderline disqualifying, and I'd expect we drop tomorrow. I'm going to assume we're auto bid or bust and hope I don't have to think about it after Monday.

I think we have to win.....but...I think JMU can lose to us in the finals and get an at large. That is what I am pulling for.

There simply won't be enough chaos to allow us to get an at large bid. There will probably be at least 6 power schools with 10 plus losses in the field even if all of them lose their first games in their tournaments. Some will be locks no matter what

I think The Breeze bracketology page has them as a possible 1 seed based on their regular season record.
