Otherwise, it is Wilbur's for me.
Like a good steak, great BBQ needs no other additives once off the pig cooker. The chef has their rub while cooking .
With that said, nothing but vinegar if I have to put some on after I pull from the cooker

Re: Eastern NC BBQ
I interned in Lexington one summer while at App and ate Speedy's or Lexington BBQ for lunch at least 3 times a week. Good times.
But I like Texas style brisket best.....sorry, I know I am a disgrace to every other native North Carolinians, and will now see myself out.

I like brisket — a lot, but like spaghetti, it’s not BBQ.AppfaninCAALand wrote: ↑Sat Jul 05, 2025 9:50 amI interned in Lexington one summer while at App and ate Speedy's or Lexington BBQ for lunch at least 3 times a week. Good times.

I’m gonna smoke some ribs on Thurs or Fri. Trying to determine if I’m gonna go use my regular homemade rub or trying something different (Asian-oriented, maybe Hoisin).BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 1:45 pmExactly...and what time is dinnerBootsy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 12:59 pmThis is my default strategy when I put a Boston Butt in the smoker.
