Over a foot and still snowing in Rocky Mount, VA.

8ish or so in Huntersville - but the middle inch is sleet from last night. Still falling in big flakes, but it's expected to stop any minute. I77 hasn't been touched, so it looks like this will be a nice, long weekend away from work

Final total south Charlotte 5 inches of powder then a 1/2 inch layer of sleet and add 2.5 more inches of today....8" in all now warmed up to 38 and snow dropping off the trees............

3 days after "Snowmageddon" and the signs of ANY snow are just the piles of plow on the side or parking lot (McLeansville, NC).

Was this really "Catastophic" or "Cataclysmic" or "Devastating" or "Bloodbath" or... Oh I'm tired of typing of those useless words the press used. Can we go back to just a "snow storm"?

That wouldn't further the lefts position that man made climate change is the root cause for all bad weather. Just this weekend John Kerry compared climate change to a weapon of mass destruction.

Does everything have to become political with you? Maybe it's has more to do more getting viewers/readers then a conspiracy. You need to let go with some of that hate, man.

You must have me confused with someone else. I throw out some political stuff but to equate my posts with hate is idiotic.The "getting more viewers/readers" comment doesn't make any sense either.

The getting more viewers/readers comment was pretty clear. He is stating maybe the news organizations are using dumb adjectives to gain more viewership rather than some leftist conspiracy.

Maybe "hate" (felt) is too hard...I'll gladly change to to "paranoia" or "conspiracy theories" (observed).

It's a newspaper/show's job is to "sensationalize the stories" that is why they use shocking words about a snow storm. Ask yourself would most people take time to read/watch a story about a "Catastrophic Killer Storm Cripples US " or "Snow Blankets US"?
