Double Standard

I’d like to thank the mods for providing 20+ years of App State athletics entertainment. For years this board and preceding ones were the only avenue App fans could gather to share thoughts in between games/seasons.

For the first time in 20 years I took a three month break from posting this summer (granted some likely enjoyed that break). I welcome this change and refocus of the boards purpose. With so many other avenues to discuss other items which may be of equal or greater importance in your life provided an place to escape from those areas we often disagree and focus on a subject that tends to bring us together is healthy mentally for all App fans.

Mods thank you for years of service to this site!

I’ve had many posts deleted on ASM so I quit posting over there. I don’t think I’ve ever had one deleted here. And although I generally disagree with NewApp, I find his self validation and constant yearning for top poster of the month entertaining. Good start by the way, currently tied for 1st!

NEVER EVER WANTED TO BE TOP POSTER OF THE MONTH AND NEVER HAVE BEEN AT THE END OF THE MONTH. If I did I would just post the word Bar B Que a hundred or two hundred times or recipes like daze did a week or so ago. You prove my point. Twisting.

Yes, by five whole posts. Temporarily. And it has NEVER been that way at the end of the month, but I could have any time I wanted to. Now if you offer me a monetary prize..I assure you I will every darn every month.

If you have an issue with the moderators adress it with them. If you dont like the answer, go enjoy life elsewhere. The annual victim card is getting old.

Not the victim just everything I say is either twisted or stupid comments made about them.I don't play the victim, if I felt I was I would just stop posting or reading, but as I stated, I will post and/or read until I am banned. You don't get to make that decision.

I don't want to put words in your mouth as you seem capable of speaking for yourself and I will not address other posts you have made, beyond some comment that I have given a thumbs up to some of your posts and some of your posts would have gotten a thumbs down from me if that was still an option as it was when this board first went live.

I would say that for this particular thread you did not seem to be playing the victim card but pointing out a question you had. Personally I thought you were a bit too apologetic about asking the question but if one is to error I say error on the side in the manner you did, if the way you posted was an error at all.

For my on self, I was merely offering a suggestion along with a statement that it would be extra work on the part of the mods to meet my suggestion. And I recognize that while I am offering the suggestion. I have made that suggestion before and will likely make it again in the future. I made the same suggestion back in the summer right before the open thread started. I stand by it for reasons that seem reasonable to me.

Some seem to feel that any comment made that is not lock-step in line with their own thoughts will be seem not just as a suggestion but a complaint and ANY complaint is to be seen as playing a victim. The desire to shut down any thought of improving something, and then carrying on about "victim culture", to me, is far worse than playing the "victim card" to start with. Others are free to disagree and I will be sure to not call them out for the disagreement in and of itself. I might enter the discussion to point out what I perceive to be an error in thought or offer a better suggestion or just ask for clarity.

Politics??? Did I or anyone else in this thread go to political? If so, I missed it. I, on the other thread, just put up an informal resume and history to clear up the misconception of who I am since someone said they knew nothing about me except I wasn't pop somebody or other. But every time I defend myself, I'm either called butt hurt, trying to call attention to myself, or padding my posts. There is more distrust and paranoia on this board than any place I can recall,. That's all and good advice.

Look man, a lot of us do give you crap, but you act like each new thing you post/do is all you have ever done and just don't understand why people rag on you. That's just not the case. I've been posting on the cabin and delphi forums since 2007 and was a lurker since early 2006 on delphi. You've been saying/posting crazy things for almost 2 decades now. This is not some recent occurrence. You've got a rap sheet of dumb posts a mile long. That is why the hammer gets dropped on you more than others. We are long past the 3rd strike. Posting something saying you aren't going to care and blah blah and will keep doing stuff till you get banned, c'mon dude, you know exactly how you've been on these forums over the years. You can retype it out and repost. It either gets deleted again, you get perma-banned for doing something the mods obviously do not want, or those that care to read it can read it before the above happens. Others can skip over it.
